When doing some x-ray and CT procedures, radiologists will refer to the "right colon" and "left colon", just meaning the right side and the left side.


Perhaps they are only planning to do a colonoscopy up to the splenic flexure rather than all the way over to the beginning of the colon at the cecum, over on the left side.
