Subject: PG or p.g. for medication dosage?
I have a doctor who is dictating every oral medication with a PG in it, e.g. Zantac 150 mg "PG" q.8 h. I have never heard of PG or p.g. The patient does have a G-tube, so the only meaning I can think of is "per G-tube," but again, don't think this is a valid term.
