Either this word was a new one on me or I just have not typed it in ages. The doctor was ESL so he was hard to understand.
Word for the day?
Refractoloxanticomb (brain) though it won't come up in Google unless you separate the refract and xanticomb.
I think, if they truly do take an English 101 course, they must also take a "made up medical terminology class". LOL.

Everytime I tried, I kept getting "Bednarski" which does not apply to incisions, but I kept leaving out the "h" before the "k."
Guess that's why I never tell someone they should "try googling" -- they probably already did. I can try and try some days and not get the answer.
It really had puzzled me how you were able to google and find this odd incision, although since I was just "reading posts" and "wasting time" not working on my own report, I just flipped over to google quick searched, and then tried a few incision type googles, when I didn't find I gave up. Had I been typing the report, I might have searched a bit more.
In any case, I was not the original poster, but just wanted to let you know sometimes even if the rest of us find the answer quickly, the original poster may be have searched a long time before posting the question.
Have a great day.

that she was probably meaning thiotepa/TBI/Cytoxan
But sounded more like a V than a B and she clearly said "thiaPENTA". Grrrr. Wish they would learn how to pronounce this stuff.

it really saddens (and scares me) when I get blasted for using BOS as a reference. BOS is not perfect, but it's what we have as our chief reference, and it is answering many of the questions posed here.

I found it after a LONG search..it's the generic for Protonix and the patient had stomach problems so that's what I used!! It was a nurse practitioner dictating..I wish they would just spell the drug name instead of trying to pronounce it. If they would spell what they are reading, even if it isn't right, it would be a lot better to search from what is spelled than what they say. Most of the time they don't even come close to pronouncing something the way it is supposed to be. Thanks!

Please let me know. I've done a lot of duplex ultrasounds over the past 5-6 years but I am very "aural" when it comes to dictation - once I see "increment" and have that in my mind, I can't think of anything else. Anyway, I would like to know what it is in case I run across it.
Thanks!
Thanks for trying anyway. I did figure it out though.

I've spent too much time on it as it is. I'm overly tired and grumpy anyway from getting up to pee every hour for the last several nights from my own urinary issues. The NP said I'd have relief today. What an a**hole. I'm in so much pain. He insists it could not be a kidney stone yet I'm peeing massive amounts of blood and blood clots. I've had a hyster so I know it's not coming from there. I don't usually wish things on people but I'm so grumpy from lack of sleep and in so much pain right now, I hope he gets one this bad. Curses!

A 77-year-old - history of diabetes mellitus and hypertension - in a wheelchair. No obvious distress when first presents.
While being x-rayed, she complained of weakness, dizziness and extreme nausea. She became somewhat s/l obtended and her blood pressure rose to 180/102.
Needed more urgent evaluation and was sent to the ER.
