She is just taking a break, as she mentioned.

ER, I have always found chemo drugs pretty difficult and changing all the time. Chuck, I learn something every day on this board, that is why I come here so thanks for the correction.
Kathleen, thanks for the link. Sure will be helpful.
This is what a good forum is all about, helping each other and learning. Even with years of experience I love it that I can learn something new (and try to) every day.
Thank you! That fits, this forum is such a blessing...

can't you just leave it abbreviated, or do you have to spell it out. I would leave as dictated.

means that the physician "made up" the word to indicate something else. The word apneic does exist. Been doing sleep clinic transcription and former chairman of American Sleep Medicine Society (or whatever the organization's name is) was in my account and she says that word a lot of times. The usage of apneic in this instance though does not seem to jive with the whole statement.

I was asking the original poster to try and get a hint at the med she was looking for. You make me laugh, Patty! By the way, you amaze me with your quick answers when helping others with terminology. You're the WOMAN!!

I would send you a cute little symbol or happyface, or something, but unfortunately I'm so computer-illiterate that I don't know how to do any of that (oh, I just noticed that I can click on the faces at the bottom!) - been doing transcription for over 20 years and still don't know how to use a computer - go figure!! I need to take a course one of these days.
Thank you, Patty!

By the sound of it, I thought it had something to do with orange peel, so I went searching.
The site I found had a spelling of peau d'orange. Do you know the correct spelling, or is either spelling ok?
Thanks again.
