I'm near the end of a report for implantation of a dual-chamber AICD, and the device programming is being dictated. The doc says: The implantable cardioverter-defibrillator was programmed to 3 zones of detection. Ventricular fibrillation at 200 beats per mionute. Therapy #1 to #6 defibrillation with 35 joules. Configuration s/l BEAT Y X for #1 to 4 and AXB for #5 and 6 with ATP during charging. I believe I blanked this BEAT Y X in a previous report, and QA left a blank as well. I hate that! I want to figure this out! I tried googling, but I'm not having any luck. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

I used to know this, but can't find it in my cardiology book or equipment book. Must have some cutsie spelling, because I can't get it to appear with googling either. Grr.

Here are some uncommon ones that might help in the future. Monocular visual field. Visual field superior 36 taped-and-untaped (checking for lid droop). Mac-to-red visual field (macular threshold to red, for patients that use Plaquenil). Hope this helps.

then I either realized or someone told me they were saying *below-knee amputation*.....was 25 years ago!!! They can talk so fast....I remember this Panamanian MD said what turned out to be *pedestrian* but said it like *PA-des-TRY-yan* with emphasis on the caps, and it took me forever that day to figure out he meant pedestrian....as his accents were usually always on the wrong syllables.
