You are correct when you state the actual receptor is HER2 or HER2/neu. HOWEVER, I often hear docs *slang* the term down to HER-negative...been doing oncology for a long time too...if the doc SAID *HER-negative* and NOT "HER2-" or "HER2/neu-negative" then I would give them what they say...and HER-negative is acceptable. also, the JCO, Hopkins breast center, and ASCO all use "HER-negative" as a term....jmho.

I have been a type 2 diabetic first in pregnancy, then it went away for 8 years and then came back, lost 60 pounds, still have diabetes and have NEVER had HBP (high blood pressure), never been on any antihypertensive drugs ever and went to the MD last Thursday and my BP was 134/70. I attribute the 134 to WCH (white-coat hypertension). *LOL*
So no, not every diabetic has high blood pressure - that's way too general a statement and I have been MT'g for 28 years and worked in a hospital for 10 years in many other capacities prior to MT'g.

As the word remainder represents a portion, the verb to use is determined by the noun in the "of phrase" that follows. In your case, "forms" is plural so use were.
This rule also applies for other "portion" words such as none, all, some, part, etc. Hope this helps.
