Subject: History of mucusy, loose stools (mucusy???)

Okay.  I know the difference between mucus (n) and mucous (adj.), but I'm not sure if mucusy is a word.  My spell check accepts it, but I can't find it in a medical dictionary.  If not, any advice on how to recast this sentence?  Thanks!

For many years she has had mucusy, loose stools.

Yep, it's a report on stools and the doc says no blood, s/l "pus mix," or melena (he says meh-LEEN-ah, but I think it's melena).  Does "pus mix" make sense?? As in pus *mixed* in?

Subject: I might very well be biliary colic stools. sm

Is this a nephrology or urology patient? Or even a GI patient?

When you have gallbladder problems, liver problems, etc., the stools are usually a different color. They can be clay colored, black, tarry, yellow, green like baby stools, etc. So biliary colic stools could be right.
