Two additional sutures were placed sefla to the first, approximating the right and left sides of the wrap without going through the esophagus.

Doc is suturing an ear that had an earring ripped out.  S/l 6-0 ethon.

Ladies, I am desparate.  Takes too long to here back from QKL, so I'm asking you.  ASR types suture material O chromic.  I have always just put 0 chromic in the past, but now know that zero is never to be type 0 by itself.  How does everybody else transcribe it?  Don't want to get dinged later for it.  Thanks in advance.

We put five interrupted Ethilon  S/L "3 aught" sutures in it to close it.

Stedman's does not show this and very little on internet. 

Skin was approximated with continuous (s/l lap) sutures of 5-0 nylon.   

This is an op note on a patient's toes.

Hi.  I do quite a bit of OP notes with lots of deliveries and surgeries for OB/GYN.  I do agree with the previous post that those books would be extremely helpful, but I totally understand being strapped for cash (single mom with three kids here).  I thought this website might offer you some help until things start to get a little better for you.  You will find links here for just about everything.

Is there such a thing as an undied Vicryl suture?  I have come across something that sounds like this but wanted to make sure.  Thanks in advance

sometimes come out of the skin.  Spitting it out!! 

Lots of hits on Google about this. Would think that after all these years they would come up with a suture material that would not do this. Some materials are worse than others.
