debate on L3-L4??
Ok.. MTs where I work are getting hit from QA saying that we are not to add the second L in L3-L4 if not dictated,, that is considered wrong now.  I have Second Edition BOS but not new.. If someone could find it in that book and write exactly what it says so I can read/see I sure would appreciate it
Wanda, I'm not going to DEBATE you on this.
Subject: Wanda, I'm not going to DEBATE you on this.

It is not debate material. When I see posts stating, "Maybe it's an either/or situation," I about go red. Being high and mighty has nothing whatever to do with proper grammar. Your perception of my attitude is irrelevant. You can bet the Indians know a noun from an adjective.
I'm having a friendly debate with a doctor, can you help me?

He says it is "Wallerian degeneration" and I show "wallerian degeneration," from Stedman's and Dorland's.  The good doctor faxed over a page from one of his textbooks that says "Wallerian degeneration."  So, I'm thinking it could go either way.  What do you guys think?

Go to OneLook dictionary. Type in mass affect. It will suggest mass effect. Voila!

I didn't say to use Google so that you could check "Joe's Spine Site". Most of us here use Google, and most of us are smart enough to know the difference between what we see on the Mayo Clinic or the American Heart Association websites versus other kinds of hits.

I do what my client prefers, the OP -- whether they mentioned that or not -- should do what their client prefers. Barring that, the only person here citing that there is a CORRECT (caps yours) usage for disc versus disk is you, and you just aren't a reference I trust so much, m'kay? I'll stick with my refs and my docs, thanks.

Still, you need take a breath before you have an aneurysm or something. I give surprisingly little thought to making you win or lose, just to answering the question.
