The difference in the modulus of elasticity between the metal and the bone can definitely lead to some s/l furching and mild discomfort. It has to do with a recent hip replacement. Any ideas?

the patient’s x-rays today shows that he has a total hip replacement in place; the lino looks fine with no eccentric wear.
Also . . .
I do not see any gross radiolucency; there is may be some small s/l 'lucenary' (is this right?) at the distal aspect of the tip of the stem.
