The Ommaya reservoir was accessed with a Huber needle and 10 cc of clear CSF was removed. It was sent for analysis. 12 mg of preservative-free methotrexate was injected slowly over 20 minutes by the physician. The patient was observed after the procedure for approximately 20 minutes. There were no complications.    

Should it be spelled out....Twelve mg of or 12 mg of ????
