Someone gave this explanation a few days ago and it is more helpful. mucus = noun mucous = adjective Mucus is stuff that is secreted by the mucous membranes. For example: Bronchoscopy revealed thick mucus. We used suction irrigation to lavage out 2 or 3 large mucous plugs from the left bronchial tree.

Sorry, I wanted to post that really quickly but was on the phone. Anyway, I live in Hawaii and on the island where Kawaihae Harbor is and we say pretty much every vowel you see. So it would be more Ka-why-high. Kauai on the other hand is usually pronounced Ka-why-E (kind of a slurred version of how it should really be pronounced).
Thanks for the explanation

The patient suffers from mild cognitive impairment. He was unable to guess his birth day, but made a couple of guess. The doctor said that several of the guesses were right. I found it amusing, because I have yet to hear of some one with more than one birthday.
Thank you - excellent explanation of it.

I was told after my 3rd miscarriage that I was RH negative. This is what I remember from that, there may be more to it that I don't remember, please keep that in mind.
Since I am type O-, and my husband was B+ due to the RH factor my body saw it as a foreign object and rejected it. Thay gave me a shot to prevent this. I cannot donate blood b/o the RH thing and cannot receive anything other than O- blood.
I thought this only had to do with O blood types though. Was your husband a type O?

Radiographic staging of AVN was first proposed by Ficat and Arlet in the 1960s and later amended in the 1970s. This 4-staged system delineates the natural history of AVN from normal radiographs (stage I) to cystic changes and sclerosis (stage II) to subchondral collapse or femoral head flattening (stage III) to finally joint space narrowing (stage IV). However, this system does not differentiate certain phases in disease progression (eg, subchondral vs femoral head collapse), nor does it quantify the size and extent of the lesion.

I rarely have to type cancer info, and when I do I do remember to subscript certain numbers....but I am running into them more often and I want to understand and know what I am typing instead of just assuming it looks right. Can you please type the below findings correctly for me to have as a reference...and also if anyone has a link or can copy and past definitions for each category so I know what I'm talking about that would be awesome. Thanks!

I have never seen L5-S1 expanded. However, the MTSOs that we use ask us to clarify format questions every now and then. I would have to say ask for clarification.
