ASSESSMENT: Ankle sprain, sub acute without sufficient rehab time and relative rest to allow for complete healing and recovery.
His examination today shows some mild tenderness over his anterior talofibular ligament. Negative anterior drawer and negative s/l cotton maneuver. There is no pain with inversion/eversion stress. There is a little bit of discomfort posteriorly with forced dorsiflexion and plantar flexion.
He may have complications early on in his recovery. Not sure, not clear.
