Typing "wretching" would have taken you to the correct word, "retching." Unfortunately, with all dictionaries, you need to know the basic word to look up the spelling.

In Webster's Dictionary since 1980 (as I know it and have one here), they have been putting non and re together with whatever comes after it....


nonexistent and reexcision for example.....


et cetera........


and so there should be no hyphen medically either but YOU ARE SO RIGHT, depends on who you work for #1, Client profile #2....and all QA personnel because some mark you correct and some mark you incorrect when you don't use a hyphen or use a hyphen in these cases.

here is the Dorland's verbatim entry for "decubitus:"

decubitus (pronunciation key); pleural DECUBITUS (pronunciation key): Then goes on to explain its various usages as in decubitus position, Andral's decubitus, dorsal, lateral, and ventral decubitis, etc. Specifies plural is decubitus, not decubiti, as does Stedman's Medical Phrase Index, and Mosby's.....anyway, stick to your own opinion, as you invariably will.

jumping up and down wanting to answer the question.  Otherwise you would have been paying more attention and know this.  This is very basic MT knowledge, not your opinion of what it should be.  Her answer is correct, not yours, and she explained it correctly.  Go back and read it again.  It is not the amount of packs in a year, no matter how many times you jump up and down yelling out your answer.
