"so in the base" should probably be "sewing the base."
"valves to approximately" does not make sense. Listen for "approximating" or "approximation."
I wouldn't put a comma after "patch" as that following clause is too important to the meaning to be separated out.

client that they want "disc" and not "disk". I was also taught through my MT classes that it was disc. I have always used that and have never heard of or seen using disk. JMO
