but what I do is listen all the way through, transcribing everything that I can and marking the places that are incomprehensible. Then I go back to the spots I have marked, and sometimes after my ears have adjusted to the particular dictator, these become clearer. If it is a really bad one, I might listen to the whole thing again at a different speed. Also can figure out a lot if you have samples and search for the words near the incomprehensible parts to see what might fit. Hope this helps a little.
