I don't have a dictionary right close but I think the word is blaise (with an umlat above the "e." If this is the right word, it means something like "nonchalant or don't care one way or the other." Let me know if that works.
There was a thread about this on the
main board. Apparently MT schools aren't providing any training at all in very basic terminology. One wonders what they are teaching.

as *nn* as I believe I was the first to comment on this kathie's suggestion for caudal vater syndrome as having nothing to do with the low back. Anyway, then she made the comment about all diabetics having high blood pressure, and it raised the hair on the back of my neck. When I read LOL-sm post, I literally busted up laughing! I thought it was so funny and so FITTING. it put an end to the thread and made every one laugh...good ending to something that was getting ugly and sort of put the QA back a step or two, as well! It was great! Still laughing!

I can tell you have the makings of a good transcriptionist... you can "hear" the words. May not be able to spell them all yet, but you are "hearing" pretty close to what is being said... keep on plugging away. It gets easier!!

from top to bottom. I was simply giving some help to the OP. Whether she capitalized or not is her business. I was just trying to point out in a quick instant that the "g" was silent in that word, hence her hearing "cushoined". I am a very friendly and helpful person. I was simply pointing that out to the poster above with the post beginning "you'd be wrong"! So, I guess now I reek of sarcasm. Again, I have broad shoulders... no problem. Glad you took the time to post.

For the second, she might have misspeaked. It looks as if she took a stool sample for Hemoccult while doing the rectal exam. I'm thinking she might be saying (or meant to say) "Stool negative for Hemoccult." Then she goes into the urine dip.

I don't think this is logical. They start at the rectum, then meet the sigmoid (left colon), next transverse, then right (descending) colon, then cecum last.
But I'd be more comfortable with the term rigid sigmoidoscope than colonoscope. No way can a rigid instrument get all the way around, right?

There may be other opinions out there, but since it is supposed to be pH, keep it that way even if it does start the sentence. I like the idea of adding the word THE to the front, though. That works too and solves the problem! Good thinking!!!
