Subject: DDAVP

The sentence is *The patient was given DDAVP to counteract the _______ of the Plavix that he was on.*  I am trying to hear the word *effects,* but this ESL makes it sound like *fevers.*  I can't see how fevers would make sense.  I know they sometimes use DDAVP to reverse the antithrombotic properties of medications like Plavix.  Any ideas?  Thanks!
