Crohn disease/Crohn's disease?
Subject: Crohn disease/Crohn's disease?

I know that the ( 's ) is not supposed to be transcribed when transcribing diseases with proper names, but this one sounds very odd this way.
TIA!

Crohn's disease is the correct form
Subject: Crohn's disease is the correct form
Crohn's disease was named after Dr. Burrill B. Crohn, who first described the disease, and along with his colleagues published a paper about the disease.

AAMT has its own UNORTHODOX style of transcription. Transcribed reports should have the same style as the medical text books that MDs follow so that it would be easy on them if they can see a "familiar style" in the text of the reports. AAMT's style differs a lot from the style of the medical text books. No wonder that is causing a burden on the doctors that they have to even emphasize the style in their dictations.
