It sounds like "Over Obrien sign is negative." Is that correct? I can not confirm it anywhere. I thought maybe it was Ober-O'brien sign but can't confirm that either. Can anyone help? TIA!

after doing a google search for gram-negative, lactose-negative rods. Basically testing organisms to see if they ferment lactose (positive) or not (negative).
Also, just FYI, gram-negative is not capitalized.

Like re-enter or re-emphasize. Or extra-axial. Or intra-abdominal.
In another other case, if the meaning is clear and it is not confusing, I do not hyphenate. Most clients seem to prefer minimal hyphenation.

What I do is type it as proximal-lateral. If the doc clearly says proximolateral, I would feel safe in typing it that way.
