Subject: Caries

Hi, all, and a happy holiday to everyone.

Am I correct in my thinking that caries (as in dental) is singular as well as plural? I just had a doc dictate "there was a large cary." I think that only refers to Cary Grant.

Does anyone know for sure?

Thanks.
