the Book of Style. It's a guide book put out by the American Association of Medical Transcriptionists. If you're going to buy any book for being an MT, make it this one - it's got the answers to just about any question you could ever come across for transcription. Some of the newer editions even come with a disk for your computer so you can look things up that way, too. You should be able to find one at a pretty good price on eBay or check out the classifieds on this site. Hope this helpls!
