Stedman's Orthopaedic & Rehab Words (5th Edition) has it as one word. I could not find it anywhere in that book as two words. Personally, this is the way that I have always typed it.
On the other hand, if you look in Dorland's (31st Edition) under flexion, it says, "plantar flexion."
I am not sure if either way is more accepted over the other. Perhaps client preference.
Have a nice holiday.

I don't know if you guys follow BOS rules but...
per BOS page 150 "When generic name and brand name of a medication sound alike, use the generic spelling unless it is certain that the brand name is being referenced." (Therefore, use KCl.)
Also per BOS p 461 Dangerous Abbreviations "Use complete spelling for drug names." (Therefore, use potassium chloride!) ?

under needle there is BD spinal and right under that is Beath and a little further down is Beeth.
I understand for verying and yes, it is confusing when you see it spelled 2 different ways, but I do type Ortho reports on a daily basis and I have been told Beath. Also when I Google Beath needle there is a section under Shoulder Arthroscopy, books.google.com and the article is highlighting Beath pin and then Beath needle is there. This might help for verification.

Page 194 in Stedman's Radiology book is concha bullosa or pleural form is conchae bullosa....
Also found this out...
Concha Bullosa A concha bullosa (CB) is a common anatomical variation that occurs when an air pocket forms in the middle turbinate.
On a CT scan, a concha bullosa looks almost like a small balloon with a thin, bony lining. If you develop this condition, you may be symptom-free, or you may have facial pain and pressure and nasal blockage. A concha bullosa is easily corrected with endoscopic sinus surgery. Hope this helps!!!

Subject: No, don't cap gram-negative. The test Gram stain is capitalized - per Stedmans Inf Dis Book. -sm
Also, I worked in a lab for many years, and gram-negative and gram-positive are not capitalized. Gram is the name of the doctor or scientist who came up with the staining test, Gram stain, so that is capped.
