I just noticed that ARDS is listed as either acute or adult respiratory distress syndrome. The patient is an adult and has DKA, so my guess is acute in this case.

I was surprised that this was used for both here.

Would appreciate input. Thanks.

- Per Sloane Medical Abbreviations and Eponyms it has it as Adult and so does http://www.jdmd.com/glos - MTME
