Is is delayed viewing?
Subject: Is is delayed viewing?
I do appreciate some bony prominence noted at the base of the third metacarpal with some bony exuberance suggestive of possible osteophytic change and possible s/l "delayed viewing " of that occult fracture, albeit, difficult to assess on the views obtained in our office.
IMPRESSION:
1. Status post blunt trauma, left hand with soft-tissue versus bony mass, dorsum of the left
hand possibly suggestive of old occult fracture base of the third metacarpal.
2. Possible soft-tissue mass superimposing at that same level possibly ganglion cyst.
Are you viewing a joint? Feeling them on an exam? Need more info including a body part! :) nm

CVAT is usually dictated before or after extremity exam but I have, just yesterday, had a dictator say this in the extremity exam.
