Not quite sure what this doctor is saying...Silicone Knob???
Subject: Not quite sure what this doctor is saying...Silicone Knob???
The patient had just had a hemovac tube and small suction tube removed. The doctor then adds:
However, after I examined them and after she had left the office, it appeared that the tube had broken off somewhat and there ______.
blank s/l "was some silicone knob"!??! "was some silicone on it"???
This is a weird one....the doctor is VERY hard to understand. I've tried to look up what actually sounds like what he is saying and what would actually make sense, but I've got nothing. Any advice???
Thanks

what criticism are you talking about? Because the only criticism in this thread is about the "not a mind reader" remark which was way off base.

K -- when the doc dicates the patient is a 1-year-old though 10-year-old should the ages be typed out or Arabic numerals? I believe BOS says the above -- however QA for the new company says "typed out" --- grrr

for years i've been using low-back pain as a pain of the low back
just like i've been using small-bowel disease as a disease of the small bowel
i figured that the "low" and the "small" refer to the "back" and the "bowel," respectively, but i'm so open to the reasoning why it should not be hyphenated....
since they're terms i use every single day, i would really appreciate clarification....
thanks!
