Crohn's disease is the correct form
Subject: Crohn's disease is the correct form
Crohn's disease was named after Dr. Burrill B. Crohn, who first described the disease, and along with his colleagues published a paper about the disease.
AAMT has its own UNORTHODOX style of transcription. Transcribed reports should have the same style as the medical text books that MDs follow so that it would be easy on them if they can see a "familiar style" in the text of the reports. AAMT's style differs a lot from the style of the medical text books. No wonder that is causing a burden on the doctors that they have to even emphasize the style in their dictations.

I'm transcribing an op note for a biventricular defibrillator implantation dictated by an ESL. If I'm understanding him correctly, he says, "A rapid advance system was utilized to cannulate the coronary sinus."
I've checked my references and googled to see if this rapid advance system is a brand name and can't seem to locate it. Is anyone familiar with it?

adding a followup "thank you" post for every single question just clutters up the board, really. I'm much more appreciative of a /well-formulated/ question that gives enough context for some to be /able/ to help and, in particular, one that demonstrates the questioner has at least tried to research it. ;-)
