you know, when I was younger, I

was told the only worse thing than a sore loser was a sore winner. The fact of the matter is although I have concerns about our future, we ultimately have the responsibility to go on and try our best as best we can. In four more years, I will get to vote again, God willing. So, we need to retract our nails, bury the hatchet, remember we are fellow Americans with certain rights, one of which should be mutual respect, and get on with what we have to do, and still remember we are still the best country on earth and much envied around the world, even our poor live better than those in other parts of the world and we were pretty doggone lucky to be born here when others had to struggle so hard to make this happen. Sleep well and enjoy what we take for granted, even simple things, like having a light to turn off before you go to bed. May God bless each and every one of you and your families.

Me, too! I was a little younger, though.
But I still remember what it felt like to be proud of my country and my President back then, and I remember how the country mourned President Kennedy when he was assassinated. For Caroline Kennedy to publicly endorse Barack Obama for President, saying he reminded her of her FATHER, was quite a statement on her part, since she's never done anything like that before, but it was something I immediately understood because the Obama family reminded me of the Kennedy family, as well. (I just hope the "story" doesn't end the same way as it did for the Kennedys.)
It's sad that back in the 1960s was when the USA supposedly had a worse problem with racism, yet we can see it's blatantly alive and well here in 2008.
I hope President-Elect Obama survives until Election Day. In looking at this board, though, I have my very saddest of doubts.
O is just a younger version of the....sm
good ol' boys club, really. Young and vital, yeah, okay. Clever, no.
If he was really clever, and had something of value to offer me, I'd be voting for him.
We should start calling Obama, O'Same.

First Pres younger than me
and though I love him (am definitely a kool aid drinker, I admit) he looks like he's in junior high and it will be sad to see him age. Maybe it won't be too bad. He seems to like stress.
Joe Biden not much younger than McCain
Biden is only 7 years younger. Not a whole lot of difference. As for the impish grin? Take a look at Biden - he reminds me of Skeletor from Masters of the Universe. Once again another liberal not basing anything on facts, just personality issues. And if I was a pow beaten to near death every day for five years I don't think I'd be able to forget that too easily. I just had my 30 year HS reuinion and it seems like it was only a couple years ago that I was in high school. They say the body ages, but the mind always stays young. My grandmother at 82 years old said to me, how can I be in this body, seems like I was just in high school and getting married a few years ago and I remember everything vividly like it just happened. My grandfather at 92 years old could tell me everything about all the candidates even back when he was a young teenager. At least John McCain has a very sharp and clear mind, and a clear direction he wants to lead the country in, and a direction the country needs to go in. No more of the democrats getting HUGE payouts from the big company and turning around acting like they haven't received anything. Three of the top 3 people who benefited from FM/FM - #1 - Dodd, #2 Obama, #3 H. Clinton.
Older and younger white men fought for this
What's the hang up with white men? This country won its freedom because "white men" fought for it.... I'm about sick to death of listening to people say "white" as if it's a bad word, just like if someone is "rich", it's a bad word.
Funny how all those "white" people built organizations that gave lots and lots and lots of people jobs, many I may add that live very nicely in my neighborhood and community on their pensions..... blacks as well.
So, her being Latina doesn't mean squat to me, when all I have seen since more and more illegals invade this country is a welfare state. They know it's a welfare state, that's why they come, for all the freebies.
And, by the way, there are LOTS of blacks AND whites fed up with all the illegals taking their jobs, while all the time being told no one would do those jobs. So, no, I don't necessarily think she will somehow hand down a non-biased judgement of our constitution. I believe she will do just the opposite, because she has already shown she is a very racist person.
There are many people with rich experiences but they are far from qualified to be a supreme court judge.
Yeah, and they're also all 30 something or younger...all Obama drones....
