you know what gets me?

It gets to me that John McCain keeps bringing up his service record.  Yes, he should be respected and yes, I appreciate what he did for me and my country, BUT not one Vietnam veteran that I personally know (and there are plenty of them in my family) will even discuss what happened over there to them or to others - they don't want it talked about, they don't want to talk about it - they don't want to hear about it.  They don't even mention it. 

I asked about it one time and what was told to me was - if you really suffered through that awful time, it is something you never want to think about.  It is not something that should be used for personal gain - it was an awful experience for so many people...

Fuss at me if you want to - and no, I did not say whether I was voting for Obama or McCain - this is just one of my turnoffs that he is constantly using his service record for admiration!
