I did not say Im in any jewish discussion groups. I can get that at home with my family. They are mostly all jewish, some stricter than others, most moderate or non practicing, as I am. However, I was in a Kaballah discussion group for about two years a few years ago. Very interesting. All I said was, if you want to learn more how jews feel about Israel and leaving Gaza, etc., join a discussion group or go to your local synagogue, they always have classes to teach non jews about being jewish. I meant no harm in my post, you have taken it wrongly. I dont know how many exactly side with Sharon or the settlers, however, I know from my family and friends and what I have experienced in life that the Holy Land has to be shared with both jews and palestineans, gosh, when it comes down to it, they are brothers and sisters. That is the only way for peace. Many jews that advocate staying in Gaza are orthodox jews and from my experience, they are not the nicest people around. That I know, I have met quite a few, growing up in NYC and Brooklyn, right down the block from the Jewish Defense League. My cousin, who is a jew, married a catholic. She became a jew yet the orthodox synagogue would not accept her and when they had children, they were not considered jewish, in the orthodox eyes. Well, my cousin and his family joined a more moderate non orthodox synagogue who accepted his wife and family. From what I see, for many years, gosh most of my life, being jewish was not too cool, unless you lived in a NY jewish area (which I did). Even christians did not care one way or the other for jews. However, nowadays, christians think these are the end times, so they are trying to band together with jews. This has happened only recently and that is great, we should all band together, however, christians try to paint a pretty picture about how alike jews and christians are and they arent. Im not trying to give a sermon here, Im just telling you..actually too much about my life, LOL..

He by all means did not run a clean campaign. Don't you even remember what he did to Hillary??????? For starters, "sam" apparently no longer posts here, or if he/she does then it is done under another name. If so, I could not blame him/her because of the regular attacks he/she also received. The ball bounces both ways, you know, so you can come out of hiding now.
My moniker has always been "m" which is the initial of my first name. I stand behind what I post, regardless of how "juvenile" you seem to think they are. I have had many conversations with other posters on the board with no complaints at all apart from my particular political stance on a subject which is to be expected on such a forum as this.
The last thing I would address is the fact that you say I should just avoid your yellow-bellied posts if I don't care for their convoluted, high-brow attitude and move on. A good portion of the time, I do just that, but it is hard to always correctly identify you amongst all the other NM and SM "monikers" on this board, again people who like to throw out barbs without sullying their reputation. Further, when someone attacks another poster as they did BT above, and I am assuming it is you by the nature of your posts, I feel that something should be said. Rude and inflammatory posts such as you are accustomed to making are hurtful and completely unnecessary. To have simply disagreed would have been one thing, but to call someone a "psychopath" is something else entirely. I, of course, have no proof that you made the original post, but neither do you have proof to me that you didn't. I will leave it at that.
I have nothing else that I wish do discuss with you in terms of political views at this point. If and when you do decide to post something of interest, be it political or a personal attack against me or another regular poster of this forum, I will speak to that as the situation arises. Maybe the new War Czar will see the necessity of administration presence at soldier's funerals. I agree with Democrat that this convocation was quite a bit more pomp and circumstance than Katrina where he showed up in shirtsleeves, made promises and left. I am not mad because liberal causes are not on TV...this has not a thing to do with liberal causes or TV coverage. It was my response to an event.

President Bush declared a national day of remembrance for the Katrina victims and there was a great bit of pomp and circumstance as I remember it. I have never seen any administration order half-staff for a natural disaster, no matter who was in power.

On Feb. 12, 1999, the Senate acquitted President Clinton on both counts. The perjury charge failed by a vote of 55–45, with 10 Republicans voting against impeachment along with all 45 Democrats. The obstruction of justice vote was 50–50, with 5 Republicans breaking ranks to vote against impeachment.
So....even though he was not convicted and not told to step down from office....he was still impeached. Only one president has been impeached and told to step down and that was President Andrew Johnson...I do believe. President Nixon chose to resign rather than be impeached.

I guess I am always thinking of the future, and about the choices we make today and how it could affect our future. As I said, I have two wonderful lesbian friends (partners) who I love dearly. They are the sweetest women on earth. They mean to harm no one. They have 5 children (3 offsprings of one of the women and 2 they are foster parents to - children of one of the women's sisters, who is a crack addict, and cannot take care of them). These women are wonderful "parents" to these children. It is not that I am against it. I just don't understand it, I guess. I too have nothing against gays or lesbians, as long as they do not try to push their lifestyle off on me. I am just thinking how it just does not seem to be right in the sense of the future, or past for that matter. If same-gender marriage was to be then where would there be offspring? Are you getting where I am coming from here.

This started a long time ago and both parties have been in power since it began. For me the question is who has been profiting from it. I'm not blaming either side, but it just goes to show me how corrupt Washington is when people on both sides are making money off of it, then will tax the american people more and tell us we should feel patriotic about it.
As for the 911 attack... there's a lot more involved that one day we will know the whole story (not what is being hand fed to us). SP has been correct in what she has said. We have to stop the fundamentalist no matter what country they are in.
