A code of crap is more like it. Returning to our Framers? Please. Everyone should be for equality, whether conservative or liberal. But no where did our founding fathers think or state that the American dream should be given to just anybody with their hand out. We were to be a country of dreams and realization of those dreams by our hard work and committment. We were to achieve our dreams by being a moral society that knew if you put in the hard work, you would get somewhere. Never was it stated that everyone would get the same results or that everyone would automatically prosper. Immigrants did not come over to America to sit and wait for their assistance check to come at the beginning of the month so that they could buy food. They came over here to work and have the freedom to make their dreams come true. Obama stands for the exact opposite of this basic belief our country was built on. The fact that he is black and that he represents progression in equality in this country is not enough to run this country. The fact that America has elected their first black president speaks volumes about our journey from racism to equality but this does not return to us to the values of our founding fathers and how this country was supposed to be run, the role that our goverment was supposed to play. Obama encompasses a feel good mentality that yes, America is progressive in that we have risen above our racism and the fact that he is a good speaker. However, if you look just slightly past that, he does not at all line up with the beliefs that Americans founded this country on.
