so then you are saying that this makes more sense to you? So him coming and being brutally beaten and dying on the cross was for what then? The Bible is not up for interpretation. If that were the case, then everyone would have their own individual rules to live by because everyone would interpret it their own way. That would mean that what is wrong for me could be right for you. That does not make sense at all. What Jesus said is what he meant. He is the only way to heaven. No one will get there but through him. They wont get there by their own interpretation of what they think Jesus said.
