is taking the fall for Rove? I think they both were involved but W can not function without Rove so, based on his remarks that he would get rid of anyone who had intentionally outed a CIA operative, if someone has to go, it can't be Rove. There is no way the leak could have gone unbeknownst to Rove; he is Bush's brain, plus I believe he would flip completely out if he was not aware of every scintilla of information going into and out of the west wing.

Scooter Libby novel becomes hot online item

A steamy novel by Lewis Scooter Libby has become a hot item now that Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff is under indictment.
An inscribed copy of The Apprentice: A Novel, which Libby wrote in 1996 when he was a relative unknown outside Washington, was on sale on online bookseller Amazon.com on Monday for $2,400. Unsigned hardcover copies were going for $700.
Now out of print, the novel tells the story of an innkeeper apprentice in a bizarre coming-of-age story set in Japan in 1903. It is littered with edgy sexual material and strong language.
Wow, who would have thought that clean living, family values man Scooter Libby was capable of writing such filth, said one reviewer on Amazon. Another Amazon reviewer noted its lavish dollops of voyeurism, bestiality, pedophilia and corpse robbery.
Libby was charged last month with perjury in a special prosecutor's probe into how a CIA operative's identity was leaked to journalists.
Libby's writing skills also happened to be displayed in a widely published letter to reporter Judith Miller of The New York Times that showed a flair for literary allusion and ambiguity.
Out West, where you vacation, the aspens will already be turning. They turn in clusters, because their roots connect them, he wrote to Miller as she sat in jail earlier this year for refusing to reveal Libby's identity as a source.

Last night Bill O'Reilly had a reporter on that spoke about the problems Palin presented in the McCain camp. Bill didn't actually agree with what was being said, but he also didn't argue the point. Let's face it, that's not Bill's style. He argues with EVERYONE that doesn't see his point of view on that show, and yet failed to stand up for Sarah Palin, who Fox News has promoted through this whole thing. I think they were setting her up from the beginning to take the fall. In my view that does not excuse her lack of knowledge or a bunch of other stuff she has done, but I think it's sad to use someone like that.

I just saw a story on Headline News Network about the shoe-throwing incident, and they said the people of Iraq are divided on how they feel about it, but nobody feels it was wrong, half of them think it was the right thing to do and half think it was an embarrassment but not necessarily the wrong thing to do.
so if they feel that way, let's bring our precious sons and daughters home, and never go back. Our finances are in crisis, we can't afford to be spending billions where we're not wanted. What's the point of being there and spending all this money we could be using in much better ways. Why keep risking the lives of our troops for people who don't appreciate it at all? I'm no political genius, far from it, but plain old common sense says this is just wrong!

I did not say Obama was a Jew hater. Jesse Jackson said he was. As to what happened at the farewall dinner...I did read the transcript on the LA Times site. It does say that he praised and toasted the man. If that is all that is there, release the tape. Releasing the tape DOES NOT identify the source. That is an excuse. If it was the goods on McCain, every news outlet on the face of the planet would be hammering the LA Times for the tape. They sure didn't mind demanding that the source who outed Plame be revealed did they?

I asked for an example, i.e., a specific post. Which post is it specifically. I do not have time to read every post on this board. Also, you said insults. I asked for examples of that. Again, you did not provide any. I am not quite sure how I am to do something about anything when you are not cooperating. I have, in the past, posted equally on both boards regarding sticking to the boards you belong on. However, I can't assume that simply because someone disagrees with your point of view, that they are of a certain political persuasian. That would be, indeed, labeling and unfair on my part. I will post another reminder about which board to stay on, but I don't appreciate your insinuation that there is favoritism here. As the board owner has said before, if this board is not to your liking, you certainly have options.
