You'd better believe it, Blondie. Our sense of security (union worker or not) is all but lost, for ourselves and future generations. I am in Michigan, and we used to be the proud "motor city." We are honest, hard-working people. No one ever handed anything to me nor my husband. I was working in a kennel at the age of 13 for Ch***'s sake! Babysitting at 11, paid for my own car, car insurance, rent/personal items until I was out of my parents' home, worked in a fish market scraping fillets on the line at 16, graduated with high honor's, only to have seen throughout the years the deterioration of the proud, hardworking MT profession. At least I know I can leave this earth one day showing respect for all and being honest, raising my family with love and consideration, albeit surrounded by the savage nature of war, liars, cheaters, and abusers of our once-beautiful mother earth, and everything that has robbed people of a happily-anticipated, secure retirement, including management for my husband's company (big union buster), in which our insurance benefits have also deteriorated. Tsk, tsk - it saddens me greatly.
