You're in the wrong place s/m
If you want an objective, nonbiased opinion don't expect to find it on this forum. Read the ridiculous stuff aimed at ditzing Obama. Ridiculous. My suggestion is to watch the candidates as much as possible and listen carefully to what they say. You can also usually find video clips of their stump speeches, etc. on Yahoo. Don't depend on anyone to make up your mind for you, do your research and vote your conscience. That's the best I have to offer. No use being reduced to tears.
Oops. I posted in the wrong place above, but here it is again.

oops I replied in the wrong place
I was actually replying to the post that said So Einstein's sentiments mean we're all morons. Sorry....guess I'm the moron here. HA HA
whoops-posted in wrong place!
The above post is in the wrong spot. belongs below in the thread about increasing unemployment. Sorry about that. Too late to be doing this!!
wrong, full of wrong statements, see my upper post...nm

There's a place for everything!!!

she did go to the right place
they had her husband listed but not her. she went on the county website and found her active status after she got home but now it's too late because of the provisional ballot being accepted.
You ought to see the place now.
The people who bought it left the barn fall apart. They tore down the summer kitchen (2 rooms, 1 up, 1 down) and "canning house" (24 x 40), and never took care of the orchard. It looks like a dump...and it breaks my heart. Everything was in good shape when we tried to buy it.
Probably the same place she gets
It seems to be of comparable quality.
Web site best place.
http://www.barackobama.com/issues/
Mouse over the issues and a drop down list will provide you with lots of links that should keep you busy. You can also check out some of his better speeches if you like. If you are interested in being conversational and social and an Obama party, this is the place for you.
As you have already discovered, this chat room is the last place to look. The web site simply lays out the platform and policies in Obama's own words, without bias one way or the other..simple straight talk.
If, however, you are interested in getting kicked out of the party and labeled a right-wing fringe element, then go to the other links on black liberation theology. You are free, of course, to read about it and come to your own conclusions. But if you do explore that issue, please read the website throughly before deciding whether or not you think he subscribes to that theology. I can tell you categorically, none of his supporters believe the propaganda suggested to you in the other posts in this regard. It would be interesting to ask others at the party what they think about the assertions that Obama embodies those beliefs.
How refreshing to find a voter as open minded as this. Good luck with our research. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have.
I don't know....but I don't think it is our place to judge....
I knew girls in high school who did not want to ask their parents about birth control, intended to stay celibate, had the same boyfriend through school let hormones override their better judgment and got pregnant. Not their parents' fault. And as you said, the boy could have used a condom, and we don't know that he didn't, because we know the success rate for condoms is not that great. That we are even having this discussion to me is ludicrous...if Chelsea had become pregnant while Bill was in the White House I don't think Democrats would be attacking Bill and Hillary's parenting skills. I certainly would not have.
System in place........
No more taxes? Would be nice, but have to have some system in place to run schools, hospitals, keep infrastructure up to date, etc.
That is what your state is supposed to be responsible for.....not our government.
that's okay - I just said we needed something in place nm

And, according to the Q'ran there is a place
in h*ll for all who are not Muslim, including you, if you are not Muslim.
Wanna dispute that?
there is already some provisions in place -
I already had my preexisting conditions covered because I had had continuous coverage for 18 months before with another company - so it can be done already in some cases. Why would it be impossible to make it a law in every case?
That would be the US Senate....same place as McC

I only everybody would think like you, the world would be a better place,...thanks,.....nm

You nut jobs can have this place
Keep on ranting about the stupid b/c like as if you are smarter than Hillary and McCain. If there'd been even a SNIFF of wrongdoing in the b/c, they would have drug it out and already drug it through the mud. Personally I don't think a lot of the nut jobs who hang out here are even MTs. I think they are professional political pot stirers!!!
BB, you don't think religion has a place anywhere! LOL sm
You do know I'm just kidding, right?
Warren did take a biblical stand against gay marriage and homosexuality, which does surprise me, considering what "The MESSage" says, but as much as I disagree with him on a lot of things (not necessarily environmental) I have to agree with his stance regarding what you refer to as alternative lifestyles. According to the Bible, homosexuality ranks right in there with all the other things you mentioned. I won't go any further into that because this is not the forum for it. However, I do think that Warren's watered down style probably fits in more with Obama's idea of religion that, oh, say, Billy Graham might. I just wonder if Rev. Wright got his feelings hurt because he wasn't chosen. He was, after all, Obama's religious mentor.
Thanks. If I want entertainment, that would be the place, but
I would find two-way conversations between opposing points of view aimed at defining differences, finding common ground, and respectful exchange of reliable and verifiable information which is SOLUTIONS oriented much more challenging. Any ideas?
Why the name calling? Isn't this a place where...
...people can feel free to express their opinions? Your post was just plain rude.
Most abortions don't take place......... sm
at 1 day after conception. So that line of thinking is just ridiculous.
Now, let's suppose you kill a 3-year-old or 10-year-old or 15-year-old child. Would you be guilty of murder in that instance? I thought so.
He said lobbiests would have no place
in his administration, and it is filled with lobbiests.
He said Americans would have 5 days to view the porkulus stimulus $700B package and we had none, but it took him 4 days to sign it when it passed while his lazy behind went on a mini vacation.
He said his administration would be the most transparent of all, but it isn't. He even signed the budget bill with its 9000 pork items behind closed doors, very unlike his public display of "transparency" in using all those other pens he writes with to destroy the Constitution. You can, however, go out online and read each pork item line by line, and see how we are transparently wasting money.
He campaigned on hope and change, yet his administration is nothing but Clinton re-treads, crooks, and tax evaders.
However, you have to give it to him. He is fulfilling a lot of his campaign promises. He's paying back the homosexuals, the baby killers, the communists, and George Soros and whoever else he is beholden to who want to ensure the demise of the U.S.
For your own survival, remember this term: Cloward-Piven Strategy. Go here to read more about Obama and manufactured crisis. http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/09/barack_obama_and_the_strategy.html
This is not conspiracy. The facts presented are documented, and you should be very, very afraid.
Of course, conservatives (not to be interpreted as Republican conservatives) researched and knew all about Obama and his agenda before he won the election. We did our homework. The above article will give you a very close glimpse into the mind of an evil man and his evil compatriots, his associations that the MSM and far left liberals said was not important. Who you pal around with is significant. Didn't your mom tell you that birds of a feather flock together?
They're all over the place in FL. nm

You don't get your news from the right place
There are legions of moderate Muslims and clerics, both here and abroad, in Europe and the Middle East, who have spoken out against terrorist activities. Now if all you watch is Fox, you understandably have not had that news filter down to you. Many in some of the hard-line areas of the Middle East (I guess you'd call it their Qur'an Belt) have risked their well-being to speak out against the atrocities. Unfortunately, there, like here, people with a moderate view are drowned out by those with the more radical religious beliefs.
Falling all over the place.
What is happening with those repubs?
Probably got it the same place as the person who posted...
that most of the country was liberal and most of the country was sick of conservatives. Equally as ridiculous a claim.
That is a good place to start...
and just outlawing abortion in the case of rape, incest, or endangering the life of the mother would stop 90% of all abortions in this country. Yes, a staggering 90+% of abortions in this country are "oops" abortions...a horrific form of birth control. I personally believe it is wrong for any reason; however, it is even more horrific to be done because someone could not bother to be responsible for her own body. There SHOULD be some responsibility here. As for the developmentally delayed child, who are we to decide whether or not that child's life is miserable? The baby that spurred the Infant Born Alive law had down's syndrome. That's all. Down's syndrome. Have you seen Down's children? Most of them are VERY happy children, the sweetest, kindest, most innocent individuals on the planet. And being a Down's baby was his death sentence. There is no way in this world that is right. No way, no how, not in my books.
Again, we agree to disagree. If you are pro choice, and vote for a law that allows it, you are pro abortion, because you are enabling it. Sadly, you can't have it both ways. And no living thing, I don't care what stage it is in, deserves to be hacked to bits and sucked out of a place where it should be safe. That is horrific, heinous, and it amazes me that anyone with any compassion at all could be pro abortion or pro letting someone choose to do that to another human being.
I will admit it. I was pro life BEFORE I viewed that video...and still that video has FOREVER changed my perception.

Ignorance like this has its place, I suppose.

Thanks for the info. I only heard this in one place
and have been flipping through the channels to see if I could catch more on this, or an updated version. I didn't know what to think when I first heard it.

Denial like this will land you in the same place
GOP needs to come to terms with where it went wrong, starting with a healthy dose of truth, washed down with a gallon of circumspection. Dems BTDT. If you need any pointers, just ask. BTW, it would be helpful for you to try the realize just which party the American people held responsible by taking another look at the election results.
As long as the same management is in place.......
there will be the same problems. We have a saying down here that I will "clean up" for this forum...."Mess with me once, shame on me; mess with me twice, shame on you." I don't think they should be given a chance to mess over the American people again.
Because he had no citizenship to denounce in the first place. sm
Go back and read the post. Indonesia, at the time that Obama lived there, did not recognize dual citizenship, therefore nullifying his supposed US citizenship. In order to attend school in Indonesia, he had to be a citizen of the country and he was made a citizen of that country by the adoption of his stepfather. His school card in the link below lists him as an Indonesian citizen and his religion as Muslim.

win or lose......it's not our place to intervene
we continually give Israel the very tools they use to give to terrorists groups who when the terrorists groups no longer do Israel's bidding, then Israel wants to turn on them. They may have good reason down the road but Israel needs to stop playing the terrorists like pieces on a chess board if they don't want them turning around decades down the road and turning on them.....
This is a good place for these topics
I go to the gab board to get my mind off of politics and have uplifting conversations.
It's good the replies were dropped. If people feel the need to reply again they will.

You are living in some high a.. place and I wish
the lake front property I sold about a year or so ago had gone per acre what they said yours was worth, oops, lacking $10 it did sell for that much. Am not good with math. The taxes on that were not much, thank goodness because my own home taxes were quite high. Seems like when 1 place comes down (or off) then somewhere else taxes it back on. Close to me in Atlanta last year water restrictions on due to drought- people followed and now the rates for water have gone up.
Religion has no place in politics.
.
That's a very wise place to get facts.
A spot called Killfile? They are blogs from people, not news reports. One-sided views just like everyone on this board complains about. I followed the link and it went to "outtheotherear". Another blog. Checked out the 3 writers. They really caught my eye:
Longing good candy, cool toys and up to date television, Mike and his family came back to Lockport in 1999. There he attended high school and reacquainted himself with the American Way. A “conspiracy theorist” teacher at Lockport High introduced him to politics and suggested that China might become important someday in the near future; he has been hooked on both subjects ever since.
Mike recently graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a BA in International Relations and minors in Asian Studies and History. In place of playing make-believe with Model United Nations and organizing with Democracy Matters, he now spends his free time blogging and looking for the next step in life. He spent the summer and fall working as an organizing fellow and Field Organizer for the Obama campaign in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Marc is very passionate about environmental, media, rural issues and issues of rural culture. He also feels it is his duty to keep other blogs held accountable. While he’s probably doing it a service in terms of credibility, his continual attacks will probably not leave him loved in the blogosphere.
Kate was born and raised in a dying industrial town in Upstate New York, an area she sees as a microcosm for a majority of America’s many detriments and successes. After earning a degree in History and American Studies, concentrating on Environmental and Native American History, she decided to try out state politics. Hating office work with every fiber of her being, she went back to school and is currently a graduate student, studying for her Master’s in Journalism and is the web Editor for Jerk Magazine, an independent Syracuse University student-run publication. She writes mainly about the inadequacy of mainstream media reporting.
I think you should stop flooding this board with blogs. They are one person opinions.
I will place the blame where it lies
Will you give credit if things work out right?
I'm not predicting. I'm just hoping because I want what's best for the country.
I have the feeling you are hoping for failure.
but why?
Tax refunds are what you overpaid in the first place...
