why would they feel a need to send people to verify what has been returned and what has not?
The problem with the clothes is that she overstepped her limits when she bought all that stuff for herself and then bought for her family also. They were not running for office - why should the money be spent on them even if it were legal to spend it on herself?
I take great issue with the fact that she claimed to be just a regular old person like you and me and then she spends $150,000 to make herself better... does not make sense to me!

She donated multiple times
DH was reading me an article last night that said his aunt donated $265 4 or 5 times. My question is if she is living in a low income housing where is she getting the money from. Can anyone say....illegal contributions. (and no doubt from our enemies). Despicable!
Those are not her clothes and will be donated or auctioned for charity
Those were never her clothes to keep. She had to look a certain way (the Washington way), so the committee provided her with some clothes for a few days. They are not hers to keep and she said they will either be donated or auctioned off and the money given to charity. Her favorite place to buy clothes is a consignment shop in Alaska (and her shoes too). Everyone made a big deal out of this and made it sound like she was stealing money from the campaign. They did not want to tell the truth. I'm glad it finally came out.
Skipped the end where I returned to

The article said that when she returned
to her office "her boss told her another supervisor had found her flag offensive." The size of the flag was never mentioned to her. A 3 x 5 flag is hardly a "giant" or a "super-sized" flag by any means. Especially as it was displayed on a stand on the floor. It was probably taking up about 1 square foot of area on the floor. Come on and get real.
Why weren't they returned to Afghan/Pak or China ? ..nm
