Where is President Bush during this economic meltdown? President Truman said that the buck stopped with him. Our country is quite literally having an economic crisis not seen since the Great Depression and his best judgement is to say nothing other than back in July when during an interview he said, “Wall Street got drunk and now it’s got a hangover.” He is a no-show just like during Katrina. What the heck is it with him if it is anything other than a terrorist attack that he goes and hides?? Do some research and see how many ties the Bushes have to Wall Street and that George Herbert Walker Bush IV is one of the heads of Merrill Lynch. I am so sick of this administration and their attitute of "no one is minding the store, do whatever you want." Why is that when the government (i.e. taxpayers) use money to help companies it is called a bail out, but if it were used to help the American people then it is called welfare? Bush is killing the arguement that Obama would turn us into a socialistic society because Bush already has! Only his socialism is to help his "fat cat" friends on Wall Street while us regular folks cannot afford food or heat. And if they can shell out well over $1 trillion to these companies that are failing then why are they not throwing that kind of money to help the people suffering from Hurricaine Ike??
