My candidate is only Mccain because I don't see the point in writing in someone else
I'm sorry you all are too DENSE to see what will happen when Obama is president. I'm so over this. We will meet back here in a couple of years and see what all you Obama lovers are saying when half your paycheck goes to a bunch of lazy bums who won't get off their butts and get a job. You are all obviously to enthralled with his nice speeches and pretty features to look any deeper.
It doesn't matter what we say or how we say it or what evidence we bring up, you will blindly follow that man off a cliff, and sadly, you will be dragging the rest of us with you.
I don't care if he is black mexican european greek or chinese. he is not what we need for our country. Let him take his socialist view points elsewhere.
good point.....this one bans if you don't agree with them....or maybe this has stopped since the

Would you like to have this calendar?
Three-hundred and sixty-five days and not a cute kitten or pinup girl in sight.
The National Counterterrorism Center has released its 2009 calendar, a 164-page daily planner that features profiles of some of the world's most wanted men and deadliest substances.
The calendar, which is free to the public and distributed widely to national security staff, provides pictures of terrorist leaders and important dates in the history of terrorist movements. It even offers advice on how far away to run from bombs of different sizes.
Next to this Who's Who of international terrorism, your dentist appointment or parent-teacher night may not amount to a hill of beans -- but even beans can be deadly, according to the indispensable calendar. A pair of pictures shows you how to distinguish between pinto beans, which are delicious, and castor beans, which produce the deadly toxin ricin.
In addition to identifying Muslim, Christian and Jewish holidays, the calendar also notes anniversaries of deadly strikes, which are often used by terrorists for so-called "commemoration attacks" years afterward.
The NCTC calls its annual handout "a prized resource for law enforcement and national security personnel" that helps them keep an eye out for foreign and domestic threats.
"In addition to profiles on known terrorists and terrorist organizations, the calendar provides invaluable first-responder information on suspicious substances, a variety of biological and chemical threats, and indicators of suspicious financial activity and forged documents," said NCTC spokeswoman Leslie Jewell.
The planner even shows doctored photos of some suspects, including an altered image of Usama bin Laden wearing a closely cropped beard and Western dress. It also shows the symbols of some of the world's worst terrorist organizations, which feature a lot of fists, guns and flags -- and even a friendly bird here and there.
Feds take note: April 9 may be the first day of Passover, but don't forget -- it's also Martyr's Day in Tunisia, so dress appropriately.

yes, Mars is on the same calendar time that we are!

Your writing style gives you away....(sm)
You are holier than thou in your attitude. You can't get away by claiming you're not the same "sm" poster, when you use the same phrasology over and over in your posts.
Go stalk someone else, because you tend to only bother the conservative posters. We do try to skip over you as much as possible, but you tend to post all over the board these days, don't you.
Where would I find this in writing? sm
Would you tell me where I would find this info, please?
***Under Obama's plan, every one making under $200,000 will get a tax refund (and yes that includes those who don't even pay taxes) of at least $500.***
The writing is on the wall!!!

I assume you are writing all this from Iraq?
Otherwise don't call anyone a coward but yourself. If you support this war, get off your flabby butt and get over there.
When Hitler sent the German army into an unpopular war, were the Germans who wanted the war stopped and the troops brought home cowards? Did they not show support for the troops by questioning Hitler's war? They were admirable and good people to stand up in the face of the German political administrations' choices!. They LOVED their troops but did not LOVE Hitler. Some of the German troops who died in Hitler's misguided war were my husband's relatives. And no, Bush is not Hitler so don't try misquoting me on that. The point is, not all wars are noble and good, despite what your proteswarrior group might say. And just because a PERSON or administration got us into a deadly MESS doesn't mean we should remain in that quagmire and continue letting our troops be killed, whether it is the Civil War, Vietnam or Iraq. Gee, at one time even the Civil War seemed like a good idea. 650,000 lost? Was it worth it? Maybe other alternatives could have been explored?
You hawks are not going to get it. Us libs can love our troops and support them but we cannot love and support this war. We can't pretend this is a good and noble cause.
So she teaches ethics in writing. SM
And lots of my family lives on the West Coast. I didn't realize your friend, who exaggerates, is the spokesperson for the price of gasoline. Know what, Lurker, I think this is the first time I ever felt the need to post something proving your wrong. I think you are the one with the problem. Get over it.
Writing mine in because I don't care
Many say that's a "wasted vote," but I think not. It shows both candidates that there are people that don't agree with either one of them! Besides, if I don't like either one, I'm not voting for the "lesser of two evils" because either way, it's still evil in the end, right? I'd rather "waste" a vote on a write-in candidate than have any remorse later for placing a vote I can't stand behind.
Yeah I wasn't really writing that
like as maybe it's a fact. Like I said conspiracy theorist idea. Like how there are aliens and the government is hiding them from us, or how we bailed out companies so they could go on very expensive retreats and bird hunts (OOPS wait that one IS true! LOL)
Sorry I wasn't trying to say anything bad, promise!
Amen for writing this. Do not forget
I heard and read that if a president was not doing well in the current office, it was due to the president before him. It takes about 7-8 years for the mess to start showing.
While I don't think that writing a check cures al ills
I certainly hope that what they can buy is regulated like WIC and food stamps in my state. While you believe that everyone there are innocent victims I'm not so naive to believe that everyone would use this money the right way. There should be a block on tobacco and alcohol, and they shouldn't be allowed to pull cash back on these cards. Otherwise, I don't have a problem with them buying other home, clothing or food related items.
Oh, by the way did you hear that people are showing up at the relief centers that are NOT from the hurricane devasted area trying to get$2,000 debit cards? If you believe that people won't try to can the system then you don't live in the real world.
You should be writing to your democratically controlled congress...
about those issues as well. They are the ones we actually vote for personally and put there. They are the ones who should be taking care of us. Their approval rating is way lower than Bush's. And yes, I am pointing fingers at BOTH sides of the aisle.
it's more complicated than that...they didn't just stop writing. nm
x
Bush is busy writing his legacy.
x
If I understant your previous writing correctly,
apparently you have been missing in action over the last 8 years. There have been absolutely NO checks or balances, so how would that be any different than what we already have. Obama ushering in a New World Order? You have completely misunderstood this whole conversation. These things have started almost 20 years ago. It is not NEW, it is now being expounded upon, but NOT NEW!! Bush played into this all of his 8 years in office...maybe you should look again and read some more. I am just the messenger.
You know....if we actually stopped
and looked at all the money these politicians spend on travel and other expenses that we the taxpayers pay for......we would want to beat them all with a baseball bat. Then you have people like Gore talking about global warming and then jumping on his personal jet and flying away.... LOL! So for them to go after Palin like that is just ridiculous. At least she is giving the clothes the RNC bought to charity when she is done. Not like Palin is a millionaire like McCain, Obamarama, and sticks foot in mouth often Biden. As for her family flying on taxpayers expense....they fly commercial airlines and not by personal jet. Remember....she is the one that sold the personal jet Alaska had for the previous governor because it was wasteful.
I'm so tired of people ragging on Palin on the time. There are many flaws that the other candidates have as well. Rag on them for a while. If you are going to tear the candidates apart....at least tear them all apart and not just one.
You should have stopped with your
of you post is pure incomprehensible babble. Just accept the facts.
That has never stopped anyone here from
They keep whining about the same old s**t over and over. Even when a subject is talked out ad infinitum...
You should have stopped at *I blame.* sm
Figures that someone giving a pep talk would turn you off. Might take the edge off that HATRED and RAGE. You are beginning to look more and more like the crowds who are looting, raping and shooting, out of control, full of a sense of entitlement and more than a little full of hysterical rage.
It's too bad you stopped reading...sm
Sam brings up valid, positive points, and those on the left turn her off, rather than listen to the truth, because it comes from her.
She isn't bitter at all. It always sounds like the left is, when dealing with her, rather than listen to the truth, even when you expounded so much on the facts. If the facts bear up the right, they must not be facts, are therefore ignored.
McCain DID do something...he stopped...
politicking and went back to Washington to do the job the American taxpayers are paying him for, as a sitting senator (both he and Obama are still sitting senators). I would think Obama would want to know FIRST HAND what is going on and not get his info from pings on his blackberry. I would think he would want to be in the thick of this, considering the economy is on the brink of failure. A debate can wait a few days. Can the economy? This whole thing seems pretty silly to me. It looks to me like McCain his his priorities in order.
Of course and isn't it about time it stopped? n/m

WC stopped when she was pregnant -
at least that is what I remembered hearing on TV.
You should have stopped at Not Tolerant. Period.

If you had stopped at stating it was from Newsmax...
and not followed that with conservative propaganda in the body of your post...obviously said in an effort to discredit whatever was in the article. I can read between the lines, as can other posters, right and left, I feel sure.
Stopped believing in the boogey man when I was 5.

I thank God Bush stopped having war on US soil after 911! nm

Definately time it stopped
Unfortunately, no matter who wins, it's not going to any time soon. Obama would tax those companies to death, so they would move out of the country anyway, while McCain would help them pack. "God have mercy is correct," 'cause we're screwed either way.
And what credible plots were stopped by
Please give one plausible, legitimate terrorist plot targeting our nation that was stopped by his policies.
Maybe if you stopped yawning, you could actually learn
@@
You misunderstand. I don't want this thing to be stopped.
Once this train gets going, it won't be stopped where the loony liberals imagine it will stop. It will go all the way to the end of the line, and that is a prospect that positively fills me with joy because it will take a lot of slimeball Democrats like Obama, Pelosi, Reid and others down with it. You know - the co-conspirators and the liars.
You're the ones who had better act fast. Last time I heard, you guys had an awful lot of criminals to go after. We'll start with Feinstein and her most recent financial corruption and work our way back.
Bring it on, and let's really clean house!
You remind me why I stopped voting democrat....(nm)

even brittany stopped giving interviews
She is under no obligation to stay in the spotlight and should decline all further interviews. seriously.
Unfortunately, many politicians stopped caring a looong
xx
We stopped reading your posts a long time ago!
McCain just stopped talking to reporters when he got the nomination
But in the middle of the summer, the McCain campaign took a series of steps that appeared on their face to be at odds with the candidate’s gold-plated brand. In the interest of greater message discipline, his advisers eliminated his running back-of-the-bus (or front-of-the-plane) bullshit sessions with reporters. And they turned sharply negative in their approach to Obama, hammering him with a series of ads—seen by some as trivial and trivializing, by others as racially coded, and eventually by most as unexpectedly effective—focused on his status as a celebrity unqualified to be commander-in-chief.

Who honestly cares, as long as the terrorist threat was stopped. sm
Until all of you stop your Bush rabid hatred, the terrorist threat is not only lost on you, you look for something more sinister and it all has to point to Bush. This is really disturbing.
I think BB has a point here in that the main point on the board is political discussion, and let'
face it, there is SO MUCH going on right now, changes, problems, disasters, and so much debate on what should/could be done, but so many tims the political discussion disintegrates in a finger-pointing, name-calling exercise, spouting religion all over the place. Yeah, our spiritual beliefs are dearly held and we would all strive to be the best we can be, and do whatever we can whatever the ideology is, but sometimes I wonder, since we have a board EXPRESSLY for Faith isuues, where relgious debates/discussions/forums, etc are welcome, why does THIS board have to be turned into RELIGION BOARD PART II, especially if one ideology wants to dominate or ridicule/condemn those who come on here for lively inteligent discussion, debate of issues in Congress and in our lives, and just want their beliefs held separately? CNN is not EWTN or any other Christian network, and there are constant informative, bright, lively, balanced discussions from all over the political spectrum on the credentialed news stations, as well as C-Span, but they are not constantly hiding behind a cross, rosary, bible, star of David, or whatever....can we not strive to do the same and put religious debate on the Faith board?? Just a thought to ponder, MHO, it might work beter, who knows?
is the the starting point or the end point for the middle class?

I answered your post point-by-point and
all you can come up with is a lame tit-for-tat? Can you provide some sort of substantive response that would argue against the point I am trying to make here? Of course not.
Please show me what part of my post reflects bigotry or ignorance? I have made a few statements based on my own life experience, rather than the hook-line-and-sinker method of forming my world view. Then the impotence of your suicide bomber reference was buried under concrete evidence of informed, researched and factual data that would suggest an oppressed, occupied, half-starved population does not have the upper hand when it comes to defending themselves against Israel's US-bankrolled arsenal of pain, misery, death and destruction. They are just a tad out-gunned, wouldn't you say?

Then the impotence of your suicide bomber reference was buried under concrete evidence of informed, researched and factual data that would suggest an oppressed, occupied, half-starved population does not exactly have the upper hand when it comes to defending themselves against Israel's US-bankrolled arsenal of pain, misery, death and destruction they employ in order to "secure" themselves.
The Palestinians are just a tad out-gunned, wouldn't you say? This might just account for the lop-sided fatalities/injuries ratios between the Israelis and the Palestinians. In closing, it is worth noting that even with the advantage of all those terrorist toys and tools our tax dollars have bestowed upon them, security and peace of mind just seem to be further and further beyond their reach. Wonder why that is?
If your point is that it was 7 years ago, that's not much of a point is it? sm
Not long ago at all in the scope of things. The point is that the same thing could and probably would happen here. 9-11 happened 7 years ago too....I guess that couldn't happen again, huh?
I get your point, but my main point is -
why should the government be allowed to tell people what they can and can't eat? Everyone says the government is too involved in our business anyway, so if they should stay out of one part of our lives, they should stay out of all parts of our lives!
and your point is??
Your point is?? Bush is the one who waged this immoral illegal wrong war, not all the democrats you have posted quotes on. It is BUSH, the chimp boy, who waged the war and used every kind of excuse possible, flip flopping back and forth over the reasons. Now that we know there are no WMD and we have gotten Saddam, what is the excuse for being there and not setting a time plan to leave?? Of course the reason has always been the murderous foreign policy of the US, to have its bloody hands in every country it possibly can. They are just salivating in DC over the fact that we will have control over the Middle East and OIL. Bush and his group are war criminals, just as bad as Saddam.
the point is
If these brave soldiers did not have to go to Vietnam, a useless, wrong war (it has been PROVEN, DEBATED AND PROVEN AGAIN AND AGAIN, EVEN BY THOSE WHO WERE IN THE MILITARY), their physical and emotional illnesses never would have happened..and there would have been no people turning against them. There were thousands upon thousands of protestors telling Nixon, bring our boys home and a few turning against the soldiers. The war is what scarred and has continued to torture these soldiers..the wrong war of that day just like the wrong war of now, Iraq..And where is the VA to help those of Vietnam? Bush continues to cut the budget for the VA, even though we will have thousands once again home from a useless, immoral, illegal war..I read an article the other day how the soldiers coming home are divorcing quite a bit..another thing these soldiers have to deal with..physical ailments, mental ailments, not adjusting to society, divorce..these were happy job holding family people before Bush got his blood hands on them. Thanks Bush.
You see, that's my whole point...
...the truth of this quote is why it's important. You can't ignore the inherent truth in an observation simply because you don't like the bearer of that message. I believe that if one truly examined history and discarded labels such as socialist, liberal, yes, even conservative (these labels change with time and are not static philosophies) I believe history would show that the the last part of this quote is right on about what it takes to be successful in uniting a country/party against a supposed "foe." Some have said hatred is the biggest uniter of a people that there is.
The point.
While there were quite a few issues in this article that were noteworthy, to me at least, the main point was that the Bush/war supporters are going to have a chance to participate in the war that they love. Since we broke Iraq we have to fix it and we can't afford to and the military can't do it so, in its infinite wisdom, the administration has come up with a "Peace Corps" type scenario where professionals of all vein VOLUNTEER to go to Iraq and work, for free. This is just too good. How many of those on the conservative board do you think will volunteer to go, or their husbands, sons, relatives? And like he said, if you voted for Bush put your money where your magnet is, smack dab in the middle of the Sunni triangle.
We have and have had for a long time alternatives energy resources. You can destroy the Gulf of Mexico, Alaska and wherever else you want but in a few years we will be right back here. The oil supply is finite. Get used to it. Time to switch gears and explore the alternatives. But again, I can't wait to see who signs up for volunteer duty...next stop is Vietnam (Oh, I mean Iran, no I mean Iraq...).
Well, to each his own, which is exactly my point.
I can not discount your points here without discounting mine. I can't explain why people sign up, but my guess would be that some need money, jobs and opportunities and are praying if they do go to Iraq they will make it back in one piece. There are obviously a lot of people who believe in the cause of this war, I'm just not one. And like I say, some have fallen hook-line-and-sinker into the justification for this war, or believe it is important to free the Iraqis and somehow this is going to protect America.
I say again, to each his own. May God be with them all!
