I do not remember seeing any posts on this board likening Michelle Obama to Louis Farrakhan...the only posts I have seen link Farrakhan to the church they went to for 20 years. I have seen no posts about the half brother other than one posted by a dem.
All that being said...and the point that was attempting to be made is that the announcement might have been made in a different way, had the far radical left not hit the internet with that ridiculous story about Bristol having the child and passing it off as her brother. THat was mean, hurtful rumor, and several here posted it and defended it. There have some right fringe stuff about Obama that could have been printed here, but I for one do not carry that kind of ... for lack of a better word...personal rumor not proven crap back to this board. I'm sorry, that is a separation I cannot make. My faith and religious convictions are part of the whole person that I am. I vote my conscience. I want political leaders who reflect my morality. I also happen to believe there are many Christians out there like me. There is no "separation" of church and state for me, which by the way was a concept (nowhere specifically mentioned in the constitution) meant to protect the church from the government more so than the government from the church.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that commercial. There are condom commercials, "personal" lubricant commercials, and penis and sexual performance enhancing commercials -- why would anyone be offended by a pro-life commercial? The fact that anyone would be offended is a testament to just how twisted society has become!

I know he didn't. He's a very decent person and respectful and when something is wrong he'll say so (and will have words with his people if they cross the line). I wasn't sure who did it. The news said they were going to tell us who is responsible but they never did (go figure). I just think its a horrible thing to happen to anyone and DH and I were talking tonight about when did all the nasty things like this start happening. I'm sure 100 or so years ago it wasn't bad like this. I just think it's a horrible world when someone is running for an office and people think its okay to do this. How low will they go?

I do not post on the conservative board..Never have, never will. I truly think separate boards is a good idea. Didnt at first but seeing how no logical debating goes on, just relentless attacks, what is the use. You could not possibly have done an in depth research of the Protest Warriors. They are no more pro war than God is. They do believe in the right to bear arms, part of our Constitution, by the way. I know how deeply offended you must be by seeing pictures of those who own guns defying your agenda to take them away from them, despite what the Constitution says. They are pro-Israel and believe, as I do, in the Israeli state. They are Jewish. I am not. While doing your selective in-depth review of their web site, did you happen to view any of the videos. Two? Even one? I am thinking you probably didn't. Protest Warriors expose the left for what they have become. Shrill, violent apologists for terrorists. Interesting post regarding US Citizenship on another board...
Not true at all, even if your parent is a us citizen, if you are born in another country, you are a us citizen, but you are forever disqualified from running for president. This does not apply to military bases and diplomats. That is the law. My boss happens to have been born in canada to us citizens working there at the time. Took him 3 years to be able to get a passport to leave the us on vacation and yes they notified him he could never run for president. That is the difference between being a us citizen and a naturalized us citizen.
I believe it is also the same for anyone whom has ever claimed citizenship outside of the us, once you claim citizenship anywhere else, you are disqualified from running for president.
