I do NOT want a president/VP that condones racism, hate filled rhetoric, anti-american views. Palin supports the Alaska Independence Group and they are anti-government and want a separate america and now Palin and McCain are basically encouraging the same thing. Obama brings unity and diversity and I am glad that he is running. What a breath of fresh air. I dont care about what anyone here has to say about the rumors of this and that concerning Obama. They have all been started and expounded upon by McCain/Palin campaign and they are lies. And WHY is it okay to give the wealthy the breaks in this world and that is an acceptable republican concept but as soon as someone says they are going to look out for the little guy and SPREAD THE WEALTH of the ecomony evenly, they are suddenly a socialist? Did McCain NOT approve the bailout plan that is buying STOCK into our banking system? Did McCain NOT approve the plan for the goverment to own half of America's mortgages? CNN treating Obama颼th day like Election Day
Week from Wednesday, 04/29 CNN preemptying all regular programming to relieve the Election Day electricity that ran through our country.
The network says it will compile a national report card of Obama's performance, using opinion polls and a series of viewer surveys.
The big night is April 29, a week from this Wednesday, pre-empting regular programming.

I think now especially in these final two days, when people are hearing Obama saying in a radio interview that he will bankrupt coal companies and skyrocket electricity bills, a lot of people are really wondering. Especially the states where coal is their major industry. They are starting to realize that a vote for the O means they'll be out of work. more like a place for a few reasonable posters from each side and one poster who does not give opinions but responds to nearly every post with a wordy, judgmental, and oftentimes incomprehensible mish-mash of distortions, innuendo, and self-congratulatory statements. Give her a break folks. She always uses the same moniker (except when she is defending her own statement with a different moniker) so she is easy to open/close or skip over.

Look, how GP is now treated by many of you. I think she is a very nice, eloquent lady, whose comments I really enjoy to read, no matter how long they are. And I do not like long posts, in general.

respectful. I don't care what your political affiliation is. This board has gotten quite foul and I will start banning people from posting if the tone doesn't change. There is nothing wrong with posting in a respectful and kind manner. If you don't like the President, fine, but do not post slurs on this forum about the President and do not post hate America posts. I watched mccain forum
and what I saw was that when asked the question when is someone rich? He was unprepared to answer. He was off his talking points and tried to answer it. To him, one has to make 5 mil a year to be considered rich. He realized quickly what a boner he had made, smiled and said that would become a joke. The joke is how many people still consider repubs to be concerned with anyone but the wealthy. They are it rich; you should be too. If you are not, you are on your own.

How many pubs on this forum and in this nation
being a qualified candidate for VP and ready to step into the highest office in the land? This is not just about Palin. This is about a party who expects to be taken seriously in the Congresss, Senate, 2010 and again in 2012. So far, all we have seen these past 2 days is a GOP collective who cannot abandon the witch hunt and mob stalking of Obama long enough to address their own shortcomings.
The presumption on the part of these folks that they should be taken seriously by anyone except themselves in view of the fact that they can turn a blind eye to this kind of basic deficit in their party and the judgment of their leaders is LUDICROUS.
Palin may not be a front burner issue for much longer, but the shambles that is the republican party will be there for a long time....a very long time, if their own members cannot get off their high horses long enough to take a long, hard look at themselves.

Apparently, you have not read the moderator's post at the top of the Politics forum, which instructs you to keep religious posts where they belong on the Faith forum. The moderator has indicated that religious posts will be removed from the Politics forum and placed on the Faith forum, as they should be. If you have a problem with this, maybe you should discuss it with the moderator.

The term last-worditis describes your actions perfectly. Calling someone a stalker has absolutely no relevance on a public forum where everyone is anonymous. No one knows who you are, no one is calling your home, no one is sitting outside of your house watching every move you make, and no one is following you wherever you go. That is what a stalker does. People who are truly being stalked do everything possible not to draw attention to themselves. You do everything in your power to draw attention to yourself, as exhibited by the sheer number of the messages you post and even your ridiculous "sigh" posts we see all the time. If you are going to use a snappy come back for the last-worditis posts, at least find something that makes sense.

Not about the election.
As I have stated before, I am pro-life, but am just appalled at the things that extremists do--on both sides of this issue. I went to my OB/GYN the other day for a prenatal exam and my 2-year-old son found a business card with pictures of bloody pieces of fetuses on it that said that anyone who has an abortion will go to...well, you get the picture. While I am not entirely sure that this is not true, I am disgusted that someone would leave such a thing lying around where small children can find it. Luckily, my son just turned two and really did not realize what it was he was seeing, but just think if an older child had found such a thing. Sometimes I think that people get in their own ways when trying to make their points. I am sure that I am guilty of this, as are many others on this board. I actually just wanted to vent a little. Hope everyone is having a good afternoon!

A large group of my neighbors will be walking down the street together at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning to cast our votes for Barack Obama. It will probably end up being like a little block party in celebration of Obama.
