Bravo for your post!!!!
What in the world is murderer Ted Kennedy still doing in office? Drowning a female wasn't enough to keep him out. Now, he's got a malignant brain tumor. That's not affecting his decision-making? Not that he's ever really made a great decision in his pitiful life.
Term limits should be applied to both the Senate AND the House. And what's really sad? A senator who serves only 1 term gets something like a $40,000-60,000 pension for life once he is out of office. Heck, I'd like to just make that in one year. It makes me sick. As Thomas Jefferson once said (I'm paraphrasing), Every generation needs a revolution. I'm all for getting as many people together as possible to go to DC with signs that say "Remember The Boston Tea Party?" and having each person put one teabag in the Potomic. Of course, we'd all be in jail for littering............
Two years from now, we will be able to live solely off my husband's income. If O hasn't ruined medicine completely by then, I'm going to nursing school.

Greetings Zville
While searching for alternate viewpoints that are issues-and- solutions oriented and dialog void of acrimony, it is gratifying to know that I wouldn’t have to go far to find that. Along with TT112OldTimer, you have demonstrated that it is possible to raise issues and concerns of diverse perspectives that do not seek to offend.
It was not my intent to depict all Republicans, conservatives or rt-wingers into the category of description that I was relating to Sam. You are right to say my post reads that way and that the statement was too broad. The injection of “some” or “a rare few” would been more accurate. Sam has said it herself….it happens in the heat of the moment. I think we both appreciate it when someone steps forward to point this out, much the same way that Lucy was doing in her remark below. She was able to reduce down to 6 simple words what I have been trying to say all along….“You are just insulting each other.” Any valid points get lost in space in that setting.
I also appreciate the interest you express in some of the stories I have tried to use as illustrations. I’m sorry I am signing off as well, but I’m like you. I have not been able to get any real response to the issues of interest and can’t think of any other effective way to “cool off” the situation without removing the fight-fest forum.
I’m not going far. After I find a job and have recovered from this word war, I’ll resurface under an AKA. If you really want to correspond with GT/GW/BW, feel free to send an email. I am not exactly sure how to exchange email address information on this forum (never done it), but I will try to find out, just to satify my own curiosity.
Again, thanks for your post.
To Zville
A few more resources have been entered under you post below.
Thanks Zville MT
There is so much out there sometimes its hard to know where to go. I'll check the links out.
Thanks Zville MT
I ended up getting so frustrated I shut it down earlier. Don't know why I even came back, guess I'm a glutton to see who else was going to join the bandwagon.
I don't know how many times I had to repeat myself that I made a mistake but that was not good enough for them. Guess they all figured it was too fun to bash.
I can take as much as I dish out, but that grain of salt was starting to irritate like sandpaper.
I will stick by what I believe in though. Not saying I won't be making mistakes in the future but unlike others at least I'll admit when I'm wrong. Thanks for the kind words.
Zville definitely not the only
one who feels that way.
Zville MT posted below s/m
about what she would do if she were elected president. I hoped that would bring about an INTELLIGENT discussion. Instead the board is taken over by the rabid Republicans who seem incapable of thinking for themselves. I give up. They'll still be blaming the "Democrats" when they become homeless. Oh well...................
Thanks for the link Zville
I hadn't seen it before now.
I guess she was trying to make a funny, but there's got to still be a lot of hurt and resentment underneath her cool demeanor, don't you think? I can't imagine that she's completely forgiven and forgotten.
I don't think the place or situation was inappropriate for the simple fact that the whole world knows the sordid story anyway. I hope her comment made him feel uncomfortable, though.
And you know, Zville, as I recall, at one
point in his life, Mr. Obama was addicted to some form of illegal drug, and I don't believe it was a prescription drug. I don't recall if he ever went through any type of rehab or not like Rush did.
I forgot to say thank you & to Zville MT too
For thanking me for giving my time in the Army. It means a lot when people do thank you and I'll bet those soldier's you stop in the street are surprised. It's people like you that make it worth giving our time. Unlike some of my sh!* relatives who like to tell me that I was too stup!d to go to college and only joined the military because only "uneducated people join the service". So here I sit as an MT getting paid pretty well and he is now unemployed with a degree he is still paying for but can't find any work. When he told me how uneducated and stup!d I was I just said to him "Do you like the fancy clothes you wear? Do you like that nice fancy car you drive? The nice restaurant's you eat at? You enjoy all those freedoms? Well you can thank me and the hundreds of thousands of others who fought for your freedoms". I would never say anything like that to anyone because in no way am I better than anyone who doesn't joint the service. It's all a matter of preference, but he just made me so mad. Then a couple days later I told him that I went down to the local recruiter and submitted his name to join the service and he should be receiving a call soon (I didn't really do that, just wanted to see the look on his face) - which put a great big huge smile on my face. He told me he'll tell them that he has a heart condition and can't join. I told him that I also told the recruiters he would be saying that to and pay no attention to him because he is a healthy fine young man. So, I got my satisfaction, especially since every time the phone rings he yells out that he's not here. Am I bad or what. Maybe in a couple days I'll tell him the truth and tell him he deserved it for calling me stup!d and uneducated.
Amen, Zville MT, Amen
That is a great idea. They should have to live like us so they have a clue what we are going through.
