McClain is infuriated with NYT for exposing his campaign manager as a beneficiary of the Fannie Mae scandal to a tune of $30,000 a month. He has declared "war" on the NYT and another reporting site. He is trying to clamp down on negative information being released about him. This is so DANGEROUS. Do not be deceived (unless you are a True Believer) about his protestations of unfairness in reporting. We need the press to report these things so we can make informed decisions. Free press, people.

I did not say in my post anywhere that it was impossible for a Muslim to live in harmony with a Christian...I said when is the last time you saw one carrying a sign that says so, or even one publically saying so? Katrina is a good example, people were told to evacuate and didn't, then figured out hmm, maybe we shoulda evacuated. Sorry we didn't listen, but can you help us out NOW? Yes, the buses not being mobilized were troubling, but those buses that sat unused weren't Bush's fault.
Here's the scenario time and again: People don't listen or heed warnings and when there are consequences to that, they want to blame someone else. There were rescuers that risked their lives to save people who didn't listen to evacuation orders, what about them?? Would you do that for someone who didn't listen when you told them to get out of dodge?
But that aside, let's fast forward to Gustav. People are evacuated successfully when a cat. 4 hurricane is headed their way, but when Mother Nature (not Bush, Nagin, the weathermen, or anyone else) decides it will make landfall with less strength, then people complain because they were evacuated and safe! They complain that the RNC stopped to request aid for victims, oh that's all just a show. So they're all damned if they do and damned if they don't, and even if it's the beloved and revered Barack in office, it will be exactly the same in a few years from now. It will all be his fault because he's inexperienced, no matter that the majority of the people in the USA chose to vote him into office. (Oh, but that will be because of corruption at the ballots, no doubt, because we gotta blame anything but ourselves!)
No matter who is elected, I feel sorry for them because the majority of people want their hands held and handouts, few want to be accountable for themselves and their own actions, and MANY people want to place blame on someone or something for all their problems, even the ones that they brought upon themselves. No one person or agency can be there to save every person from every disaster, every pitfall, or just from themselves, so no matter who makes POTUS, they will be blamed and called names regardless because so many people in this country have lost any semblence of respect for their fellow human beings.

I don't know about you but at MY age a certified copy of the birth certificate that was filed with the state some time after my birth, and with my name spelled incorrectly, has been all that has ever been required for me and I see no reason why a CERTIFIED copy of Obama's birth certificate isn't good enough for you...except maybe you're still hoping the election will be nullified and your McCain will still yet take over......GOD FORBID!

Homeless people living on park benches, however, would only have to hear about Obama spreading the wealth and they would be on board for Barrack Obama therefore giving him more votes. I am totally disgusted by the corruption in this election. The voter registration fraud as well as the voter fraud that has happened is just plain wrong. Letting homeless people with no address vote is just opening up a chance for more voter fraud. Taking away the right of our armed forces to vote because of a glitch is just wrong. They are fighting and risking their lives and we can't even do right by them when it comes to making THEIR vote count. Of all people in this country, don't you think they have the most right to vote. They are the ones fighting for us while we sit here and complain about everything from the safety of our computers.

An obvious question would be...
why would anyone wait until you are sick to get insurance? That is like trying to get flood insurance when they have 2 feet of water in their house. I don't think anyone should expect an insurance company to insure them in either case. If an insurance company was forced to insure a person who waited until they were sick to get insurance, who had not paid one premium prior to that...how unfair is that to the people who have paid premiums into that company for years and had not had a claim, their premiums would go to take care of a person who never sought insurance until they were sick. Plus, if insurance companies were forced to do that...within a month several thousand people who had insurance would stop paying insurance premiums and not try to get insurance back until they got sick. No premiums, no money to pay out, insurance company goes belly up and no one has insurance. I am not sure exactly where you are going with this...maybe I am misunderstanding?

This is not "amusing", this is not "cute", this is not "a joke", and this is certainly not "Statesmanlike". As for Michelle's comment. If Obama had said it, yes I would say go after him. But she is not running for President, and when it comes to this people always say leave Cindy McCain alone even though she's said and done some whoppers in the past. Executives being dismissed from jobs but receiving multi million dollar settlements, while the workers lose their jobs with nothing. You tell me what is there to be proud of. As for Barack sitting down with our enemies - you better count on it if we ever plan to get along with other countries. You HAVE to sit with your enemies and work out a strategy to live on the earth together in peace (even Kennedy, Carter, and Reagan have all said that). I really think all of these "bail-outs" were actually a long time in the planning and went off according to schedule. The way the Wall Street bail out was handled, just give them the cash, no oversight, a 2 page application, etc. tells it's own story. The salaries and bonuses given to the CEOs is nothing short of disgusting. Yet people have the unmitigated gall to whine because union workers earn a decent living. Working class people should be squarely behind the UAW workers and AGAINST the CEOs who are begging for our money while flying to the begging table in their private jets. Heck most of us when we fly have to take coach class. First class is reserved for the like of the Victoria Olsteens. At least they aren't rich enough YET to afford their private jet.
Your husband may as well go on down to Washington and ask for a handout but I doubt he'll get it.....now if the real estate commission in your state went, they MIGHT get a bail out that wouldn't even trickle down to your husband. Bush and Cheney care not one iota for common people.....witness their "so what?" and "so?"
