You have to look at the individual churches. The American Baptist doesn't encompass all of us as far as I know. You also have to look at the churches with humongous congregations and ask what is drawing all these people? Usually you will find that in those churches there is more "me stuff" preached. More "what do I get out of being a Christian" rather than "what should I do now as a Christian?"

The reason they have larger congregations is because we live in a me me me society.

I can't say for sure if they are false prophets and teachers or not. But I can tell you this: from what I read in the Bible, God does not support abortion. God says that children are a gift, and I don't think he takes to kindly to returned gifts! :)

We'll find out soon enough though, huh?
