The good thing about this country is we can make our own choices and we have the freedom to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps. Advocating more and more tax dollars to keep people in a poverty state (social security, welfare etc.) will only decrease the ability of the middle class to pull themselves up. Again, we won't agree, but the war in Iraq has not made anyone poor who wasn't going to be in the first place, most of them by their own choices.
