Again, I'll put it to you also, which committee did you get nominated to that you get to decide normal? Believe me, and I say this with a degree of pride, there is probably little that you and I would agree on as normal.
The polyamorous folks I know will be tickled to know that they can start putting forth their pitch to get married, since you're okay with that, seeing as it falls within your range of normal behavior. Of course, I guess it kinda depends on the polyamorous relationship they have. Some of them, and I know this may come as a shock to you, actually engage in group sex. Which means that two people of the same sex are liable to come into sexual contact with each other. Maybe they could fill out some kind of a questionnaire before they're granted their license.
And, while you may not like it, as sentient beings, humans have the right to choose and discard the relationships they want, and as a citizen of the United States, they have the right to do so without religious interference.
