Who is scarier (McCain or Obama) and why?
I would like to know who you think is a scarier candidate and why.  Please give facts (not rumors you have read or heard like for example - do not tell me that you believe Obama is a muslim, or that you don't like his middle name or think he's the antichrist, or McCain is not a christian or this or that).  I am looking for some facts.  Like he supports this or that and his experience he has done this or that.  Just curious who thinks who is a scarier choice for president.  Both of them right now are not high on my list and whoever is chosen for president will be just that (chosen by the higher powers than us).
I agree neither choice is great, but will vote McCain just as a vote against Obama. nm

Then you need to vote for Obama. A vote for McCain will...sm
not help you. Obama wants to give tax relief to 90% of Americans who earn 1% of the gross earnings in this country. The top 1% of earners bring in 90% of earnings. Any one person who earns $250,000 or less will benefit from Obama's tax plan.
Yeah, but America will vote O in just because they

This post really makes me WANT to vote for Obama. I am undecided, but this pushes me closer to Obama
...Thanks for the info!
Far scarier that you would not.
Hum
Not really sure which one is scarier.

I don't like either one.  I'm neither republican or democratic.  I'm rather in the middle of the road and pick the best person I think no matter what.  However, I'm really not sure which is the best person.  I think right now....both candidates suck.  There really isn't a better way to put it than that.  As for Obama....him wanting to sit down and talk to terrorist leaders, etc.......terrorists don't talk....that is why they are called terrorists.  They blow crap up and then cheer about it.  What makes Obama think he will bring about world peace here when we are dealing with people like that?  I mean really.  However, at the same time, I don't want our troops over in Iraq forever either.

I think both candidates are blowing smoke up our butts with their plans about this whole gas price stuff.  Government can't change the price of oil.  However, they can get rid of some of the red tape and let us start drilling for oil around our coasts instead of getting everything from other countries as well as looking for an alternative fuel source......and ethanol is not it!!!  Whoever was the moron who decided to take a food source and try to make fuel out of it.....you have jacked up prices of all of our groceries, meat, etc.

Universal healthcare is not a good idea.  Granted, prices are way too high, but we have good doctors in the US because they make good money here.  If they all got a flat rate for everything, people may not take that extra effort to be a doctor or be a good one.

I feel bad for people who have low income and are really struggling.  I wish there was a way to help people who really need help in general.....however, there are so many crooks out there looking for hand outs and not trying to better there situation.  It is like the ones that really need help and are trying can't get the help they need to really get on the their feet and the low life scum that mooch off of the government are the ones who get help.  It disgusts me.

As for the CEO of companies pocketing millions of dollars while the employees lose their jobs, etc.....I don't agree with that either.  I'm tired of the arrogance of our country.  Everybody hates us.  We always try to tell others how to run their countries and yet we send all of our jobs out of our country for cheaper labor and we buy all of our stuff from other countries that don't have strict regulations about stuff like lead in the paint on toys, etc.  Are we really this stupid?

I think all politicians are crooks and they all make promises that are unrealistic.  But instead of researching and finding out what is feasible, you get those followers who hear something and instantly believe and they vote out of ignorance.

I truly wish there was another option here.  I'm still debating on who I will vote for.  I don't like either candidate.  I think the US could have done much better than either of them.  God help us all with this next election!

I don't know what's scarier
McCain or that there are actually people who will vote for him.

Okay, here's a link for you (don't let any kids see this - could be scary), but from your link I found, another link, then another, then another and then found this. This truly sums up what I've always seen whenever I see Hillary talking. I couldn't stop laughing.

What is even scarier is those who would believe Ayers...

Ayers called Obama a family friend

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-talk-ayers-14nov14,0,2979315.story

Clinton way way more scarier than Biden
I know where Biden stands. I know what his issues are. I know how he voted. Ive seen him question people on issues. I've heard him tell Bush if he starts a war in Iran he will be impeached and he can't just go and do what he pleases without approval.

What scares me about Hillary:
- She lies so much she can't tell the truth from her lies.
- She'll say anything to get elected.
- She won't tell Bill to back down when he's doing her campaign harm.
- She's part of Bilderberger group.
- She believes she should be just anointed to the office of President.
- She wants to socialize the health care system.
- She does consider people like the cleaning ladies or other service oriented jobs as "real people".
- She talks about assassination attemps as though she's talking about the weather (if she wasn't thinking about doing it or having it happen she would not have brought it up.
- She uses her gender as a way of getting votes.
- She call the "race card" when it goes in her favor.
- She fights for illegals to have the right to vote (for her of course).
- She'll have her daughter go and to the polling stations convincing people to vote for her, but any of Obama's people go to the voting booth and she's ready to have them all arrested.
- She plans to turn the US into a socialist country.
- She was the chief person behind the Waco Incident.

The list goes on and on and on. She is one scary lady and she has no scruples.
You fear-mongers are much scarier than Ayers.
"I knew Barack Obama, absolutely. And I knew him probably as well as thousands of other Chicagoans," Ayers said. "And like millions of other people worldwide, I wish I knew him better right now."

Ayers, now a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, calmly dismissed any belief that he and Obama are covering up a deeper bond.

"This idea that we need to know more, like there's some dark hidden secret, some secret link, is just a myth, and it's a myth thrown up by people that wanted to exploit the politics of fear," Ayers said. "And I think it's a great credit to the American people that those politics were rejected. The idea that we should continue to be frightened and worried and barricaded is falling down, and it should."
Much scarier would be government decisions based on God.
Keep religion out of government and leave it in the churches where it belongs!
That is why I can't vote for Obama.
nm
exactly why I CANT vote for Obama.

nm

Exactly why I could NEVER vote for Obama.

VOTE FOR OBAMA

There goes one of those extremist Republican tempers again, quoting so called facts and figures set forth by a "fat cat" named Senator McCain and his rich rich rich wife.  As I said before.. You vote for McCain and I will vote for Senator Obama.

VOTE FOR OBAMA
your mamma
Let's Vote Here For Fun - Obama
Let's see how many here are for McCain and how many for Obama.  You can just put the name (or even O or M) in the subject line.  As you can see above, I vote for Obama.
Some of us would NEVER vote for Obama either.
nm
I did not vote for Obama, still would not.
nm
The "world" says vote Obama...
best reason I have heard yet to vote McCain/Palin.
Would not vote for Obama, no matter what he
nm
Obama and Biden vote
What you don't realize is that when the vote took place, Pubs were in charge of house and senate.  They always throw in crap (like the Bridge to Nowhere) in with the budget.  In order to get anything done for the American people, the Democrats have to vote yes even though there are things in there that they don't agree with.  That's how the Pubs do it.  Lumping everything together instead of the way it's supposed to be done.  Democrats have to compromise in order to get anything done.  Pubs never do.  They always want their way, like little babies, instead of doing what's right for the country.  Like when congress went on vacation in August, they threatened a government shutdown if Pelosi refused to bring up a vote on drilling.  Then when the government's shut down and more people suffering, they blame the Democrats when it's all the Pubs' fault.  And stupid Pubs just listen to everything that comes out of their mouths and believe it.  Wake up people!  Watch CSPAN once in awhile and see the truth for yourselves!
How can a sensible person vote for Obama?
nm
Yes I make more and I will vote Obama because sm
I want it to be fair as far as taxation. I do not want to get a tax break when people are sleeping in their cars who 2 years ago were in the middle class. I will pay taxes, only 3 percent more. Actually it is going back to the tax structure that Clinton had which worked out fine for the country and we had no debt.

Why this black man can't vote for Obama

Why I can't vote for Obama:  Worth the read!
I wanted to send this article from Huntley Brown - a fabulous concert pianist, a man of God and a black man. I appreciate so much his reasoning for not voting for Obama. I would like to see his article published or spread out via Email to as many as possible. It's good stuff!

Why I Can't Vote For Obama
By Huntley Brown
Dear Friends, A few months ago I was asked for my perspective on Obama, I sent out an email with a few points. With the election just around the corner I decided to complete my perspective. Those of you on my e-list have seen some of this before but it's worth repeating...
First I must say whoever wins the election will have my prayer support Obama needs to be commended for his accomplishments but I need to explain why I will not be voting for him.
Many of my friends process their identity through their blackness I process my identity through Christ. Being a Christian (a Christ follower) means He leads I follow. I can't dictate the terms He does because He is the leader.
I can't vote black because I am black; I have to vote Christian because that's who I am. Christian first, black second.  Neither should anyone from the other ethnic groups vote because of ethnicity. 200 years from now I won't be asked if I was black or white. I will be asked if I knew Jesus and accepted Him as Lord and Savior.
In an election there are many issues to consider but when a society gets abortion, same-sex marriage, embryonic stem-cell research, human cloning to name a few, wrong economic concerns will soon not matter.
We need to follow Martin Luther King's words, don't judge someone by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I don't know Obama so all I can go off is his voting record. His voting record earned him the title of the most liberal senator in the US Senate in 2007.
NATIONAL JOURNAL: Obama: Most Liberal Senator in 2007 (01/31/2008)
To beat Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton as the most liberal senator, takes some doing. Obama accomplished this feat in 2 short years. I wonder what would happen to America if he had four years to work with.
There is a reason Planned Parenthood gives him a 100 % rating. There is a reason the homosexual community supports him. There is a reason Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Castro, Hamas etc. love him. There is a reason he said he would nominate liberal judges to the Supreme Court. There is a reason he voted against the infanticide bill. There is a reason he voted No on the constitutional ban of same-sex marriage. There is a reason he voted No on banning partial birth abortion. There is a reason he voted No on confirming Justices Roberts and Alito. These two judges are conservatives and they have since overturned partial birth abortion. The same practice Obama wanted to continue.
God help him. There is a reason Obama opposed the parental notification law.
Think about this:  You can't give a kid an aspirin without parental notification but that same kid can have an abortion without parental notification. This is insane.
There is a reason he went to Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years.
Obama tells us he has good judgment but he sat under Jeremiah Wright teaching for 20 years. Now he is condemning Wright's sermons. I wonder why now?
Obama said Jeremiah Wright led him to the Lord and discipled him. A disciple is one in training. Jesus told us in Matthew 28:19 - 20 'Go and make disciples of all nations.' This means reproduce yourself. Teach people to think like you, walk like you; talk like you believe what you believe etc. The question I have is what did Jeremiah Wright teach him?
Would you support a White President who went to a church which has tenets that said they have a ...
1. Commitment to the White Community
2. Commitment to the White Family
3. Adherence to the White Work Ethic
4. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the White Community.
5. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions
6. Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace the White Value System
7. Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System.
Would you support a President who went to a church like that?
Just change the word from white to black and you have the tenets of Obama's former church.   If President Bush was a member of a church like this, he would be called a racist. Jessie Jackson and AL Sharpton would have been marching outside.
This kind of church is a racist church. Obama did not wake up after 20 years and just discovered he went to a racist church.  The church can't be about race.  Jesus did not come for any particular race. He came for the whole world.
A church can't have a value system based on race. The churches value system has to be based on biblical mandate. It does not matter if it's a white church or a black church it's still wrong.  Anyone from either race that attends a church like this would never get my vote.
Obama's former Pastor Jeremiah Wright is a disciple of liberal theologian James Cone, author of the 1970 book A Black Theology of Liberation. Cone once wrote: 'Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him.
Cone is the man Obama's mentor looks up to. Does Obama believe this?
So what does all this mean for the nation?
In the past when the Lord brought someone with the beliefs of Obama to lead a nation it meant one thing - judgment.
Read 1 Samuel 8 when Israel asked for a king. First God says in 1 Samuel 1:9 'Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do.'
Then God says
1 Samuel 1:18 ' When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the LORD will not answer you in that day.' 19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. 'No!' they said. 'We want a king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.'  21 When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the LORD. 22 The LORD answered, 'Listen to them and give them a king.'
Here is what we know for sure.
God is not schizophrenic
He would not tell one person to vote for Obama and one to vote for McCain. As the scripture says, a city divided against itself cannot stand, so obviously many people are not hearing from God.
Maybe I am the one not hearing but I know God does not change and Obama contradicts many things I read in scripture so I doubt it.
For all my friends who are voting for Obama can you really look God in the face and say; Father based on your word, I am voting for Obama even though I know he will continue the genocidal practice of partial birth abortion. He might have to nominate three or four Supreme Court justices, and I am sure he will be nominating liberal judges who will be making laws that are against you.  I also know he will continue to push for homosexual rights, even though you destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for this.  I know I can look the other way because of the economy.
I could not see Jesus agreeing with many of Obama's positions. Finally I have two questions for all my liberal friends.
Since we know someone's value system has to be placed on the nation,
1 Whose value system should be placed on the nation.
2.  Who should determine that this is the right value system for the nation?
Blessings, Huntley Brown

Obama and the black vote...
I don't mean this offensively to you but don't you think since Obama may possibly be the first black President of the United States, that the majority of black people want to share in that historical moment?  I may be a white lady or a "cracker" as the blacks sometimes call me, but I can understand the majority of black people wanting to vote for a black man for President.
I did not vote for Obama, nor do I agree...sm
with most of the issues he stands for, but this is just plain CRAZY!
No, which is why I didn't vote for Obama....
**
i bet hillary doesn't vote for obama
will snicker as they push that button for mccain
Obama got my vote for none of the reasons you listed.
My vote is between myself and the canddiate. He is my voice. On any given subject, I could start a sentence that he can finish the same way I would. This has not happened for me in my entire adult lifetime. I was a few years shy of voting age in 1960. Kennedy was the only other candidate that gave me voice. That is why there is nothing anybody could say to sway me one way or the other and I find it sad that those who would try do not seem be able to understand that I am not the only one who feels this way about supporting this remarkable man.
How did Obama vote in the bailout issue..... sm
and what did he have to say about it?

""To the Democrats and Republicans who opposed this plan yesterday, I say step up to the plate and do what's right for this country," he said. "And to all Americans, I say this: If and when I am president of the United States, this rescue plan will not be the end of what we do to strengthen this economy, it will only be the beginning."

Tony Fratto, White House spokesman said, "Obama blasted Congress Monday for not passing the rescue package, while McCain's campaign accused Obama and Democrats of putting "politics ahead of country." "

Looks to me like Obama is just as much at fault as the *gasp* Republicans for throwing good money after bad...or is bad after worse....money into a scheme with no real plan in place beforehand. At least they made the big 3 come up with a plan.

I think Obama will ask his voters to vote for who he wants in; I hope not though! nm

You wouldn't vote for OBAMA if he walked on water.
It is senseless to talk with far right wingers. It is like talking to a rock. I blame this on the dismal education provided to the U.S. citizens for the last 20 years. Of all the unions, the teacher's union appears to be the strongest, allowing mediocre teachers to remain in their positions regardless of the obvious lack of effective teaching skills.

Bad educations, heavily indebted and unhealthy citizens make poor voters. They become SHEOPLE rather than independent voters. Wave a bible in front of them and the work PROLIFE and they'd vote for a train hopping hobo.

Obama did not vote to deny a baby care -
Obama clearly stated there was already a law on the books in Illinois that covered this topic and there did not need to be another one.  Do you not understand that?
Totally wrong because the most educated people vote for Obama sm
That is a fact. The dumb, uneducated vote repub, the greedy rich vote repub and the religious right vote repub. The college educated people vote Obama. Why do you think McBush and Failin are out there calling Joe SixPack etc... that's their only hope. They know the filthy rich without conscience will vote for them. They know the religiouis nuts but some of the eehaas and dummies have been going to Obama and McBush and Failin are freaking out a little.
obama won...he wouldn't really because people won't really vote for black and lie to polls
x
A socialist country doesn't seem like such a bad thing?!? Then vote for Batista Obama.

Obama Justice Department Decision Will Allow Non-Citizens to Register to Vote in Georgia

Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel issued the following statement following the U.S. Department of Justice’s denial of preclearance of Georgia’s voter verification process

Atlanta - “The decision by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to deny preclearance of Georgia’s already implemented citizenship verification process shows a shocking disregard for the integrity of our elections. With this decision, DOJ has now barred Georgia from continuing the citizenship verification program that DOJ lawyers helped to craft. DOJ’s decision also nullifies the orders of two federal courts directing Georgia to implement the procedure for the 2008 general election. The decision comes seven months after Georgia requested an expedited review of the preclearance submission.

“DOJ has thrown open the door for activist organizations such as ACORN to register non-citizens to vote in Georgia’s elections, and the state has no ability to verify an applicant’s citizenship status or whether the individual even exists. DOJ completely disregarded Georgia’s obvious and direct interest in preventing non-citizens from voting, instead siding with the ACLU and MALDEF. Clearly, politics took priority over common sense and good public policy.

“This process is critical to protecting the integrity of our elections. We have evidence that non-citizens have voted in past Georgia elections and that more than 2,100 individuals have attempted to register, yet still have questions regarding their citizenship. Further, the Inspector General’s office is investigating more than 30 cases of non-citizens casting ballots in Georgia elections, including the case of a Henry County non-citizen who registered to vote and cast ballots in 2004 and 2006.

“It is important to underscore that not a single person has come forward to say he or she could not vote because of the verification process. Further, while DOJ argues that the process is somehow discriminatory, the historic voter turnout among Hispanic and African-American voters in the 2008 general elections clearly says otherwise.

“This decision provides a specific example of the inherently illogical and unfair nature of Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act. It is a sad day for the rights of our state and for the integrity of our elections. I remain committed to continuing the fight for citizenship verification. In the coming days, I will consider every option available to the state, including the possibility of legal action.”

Background:

As required by law and ordered by federal courts in October 2008, the eligibility of new applicants to register and vote is checked against the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) and Social Security Administration databases to ensure that individuals registering to vote report similar information. If information in these databases does not match information reported on the voter registration form, the applicant is asked to clarify the information. Additionally, if the applicant previously reported to DDS that he or she is not a U.S. citizen, that person is asked by a registrar to provide proof of citizenship.

Prior to the November 2008 General Election, Secretary Handel sent letters to 4,771 voter registration applicants whose records at DDS indicated they were not U.S. citizens, asking them to provide documentation of their citizenship. As of March 2009, 2,148 of these applicants still have chosen not to resolve the question about their U.S. citizenship.

In the November 2008 General Election, county election officials reported that 599 individuals cast a challenged ballot because the voter had previously indicated to DDS that he or she was not a United States citizen and had not resolved their status with county officials at the time of the election. Of those, 369 ballots were accepted because the voter provided documentation of their citizenship after the election; and 230 were rejected because the individual chose not to confirm his or her citizenship status.

On October 10, 2008, activist organizations including the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a lawsuit to attempt to prevent Georgia from verifying the eligibility of applicants to register and vote in the November General Election, including whether those individuals were citizens of the United States.

On October 16, 2008, U.S. District Court Judge Jack Camp denied the motion by MALDEF and ACLU; directed the State to continue the verification process; and acknowledged the State’s requirements to verify information under the Help America Vote Act. In his order, Judge Camp stated:

HAVA requires that Defendant Handel match information in the statewide voter registration database with information from the Georgia DDS and the SSA databases “to the extent necessary to enable each such official to verify the accuracy of the information provided on the applications for voter registration.”

Judge Camp also stated: ...

that would be Colin Powell, believed that same "bad intelligence" and sold it to the world in the UN. But of course...since he is endorsing Obama...he is absolved of all wrongdoing? LOL, GP. Sorry.

WWJD? J wouldn't vote for a pro-abortion candidate, and I sure don't think J would be walking this earth telling people go ahead and have an abortion because the government shouldn't be in your personal life. Forget the government! Is being a Christian part of your life? If it is, then I don't know how you can vote for Obama or condone abortion in any way, shape, or form.

Killing babies is wrong, it doesn't matter WHO does it. If the mother decides to terminate it, fine. If a man sticks a knife in her belly and kills her and the baby, he is guilty of a double murder. And you can justify that in your mind...how? Simply that the mother has the right to kill it and the man didn't? What would J think of that?
Yeah, well, unfortunately, with Obama in office,
