Why do you think Freepers are evangelicals? sm

I have to admit, that's the first time I heard that generalization applied to them.

Freepers have been around for a long while...
And I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you about the posts on FreeRepublic. I have the site bookmarked and I look at it pretty often. It's true that you can find liberals ranting on their own sites and some of that gets pretty hateful and scary sometimes too - but I can understand why. They've been threatened once too often and they're just not going to take it anymore.
Freepers don't have that excuse. Many of them are hateful and aggressive as a way of life and love spreading it around. What is their excuse for threatening the lives of liberals as often as they do? - a liberal might give them HEALTH CARE? Yeah I guess that's a killing offense.
But anyway if you haven't noticed any threatening posts by Freepers, obviously, you're not looking for them - and that must be a full-time job. Either that or you agree with the worst of them, in which case what's not to like?
Kudos to the Freepers for raising money for Katrina - puts them on par with the many liberal and bipartisan groups doing the same. It should be a group effort.
Now if they'd stop supporting torture, religious discrimination and intrusive anti-Constitutional government policies as well, maybe they'd lose their dumb-butt reputations.
Jeepers creepers, FREEPERS? HERE?!
If this board is a *freeping* example, these *freepers* must be R-I-C-H!!
This was posted on the Maher board about an hour ago.
The freeper truth- revealed!
Absolutley hilarious. And true, i kid you not. Turns out a good friend of mine- one with whom i often disagree, but remain friends with neverthless- told me he is actually a paid freeper for the right. I have long thought it was just a rumor, but he actually spelled out the so called mandate of these individuals for me: He said they view it kind of the same way enemies, in past wars, tried to just wound people instead of kill them, so they could tie up two or more people to help the person in need. Thats what he said he was actually paid to do- (can you believe it- so sad)- he says he was paid to start contrary topics on boards just like this, to inflame people and keep them typing and arguing, while not engaging in the actual argument, just to keep so called liberals on the board, preventing them for going out and getting the grassroots door to door work done for their party. Absolutley sad- and i kid you not- true.
Do you really think Freepers would fiddle with this website?
Give me a break.
Evangelicals running the party?
Just last week the Dems were snickering that the "leader" of the Republican party is Rush Limbaugh, who is hardly an "evanglical" of any color or stripe.
Really, they should make up their mind. Someday, people are going to wake up and notice that their various attempts to "slime" the Republican party are inconsistent with one another.
Coulter On Leno: Jeepers, Creepers, Where'd ya Get those Freepers?
The truth about the *applause* Coulter received on the Tonight Show right from the planted freeper's mouth, including the celebration with Ann after the show.

Jay Leno gives you a little notice, a little warning of sorts, before taping his show, that it just wouldn't be nice or appropriate to shout out stuff or boo or heckle any of the guests because, hey, everyone should be able to come and share their views. But even if a grungy, dreadlocked white kid in a Che t-shirt did decide to heckle Ann Coulter, there was a rather large group of Freepers, conservative/Republican activists and friends in the audience to overwhelm them.
But there was no heckling and very little by way of booing, except of course, when Jay read the passage from Ann's book in which she describes the self-serving Jersey Girls. At that point, there were some hisses in the audience, but Ann plowed ahead, as she always does.
And some on the web seemed to be under the impression that Ann Coulter and the elderly George Carlin were going to face off, but when has there ever been a political debate on the Jay Leno Show? Carlin came on, did his unfunny shtick, no one knew where the comedy was, and he sat down on the couch. Then Ann came on and got some strangely pointed questions from Jay, who seemed to want to please his leftist producers/writers without really knowing where he was going with the interview. He did ask Ann if it ever hurt her feelings when people criticize her, and she said no.
Some things should go without saying but in case you weren't sure: yes, we cheered her loudly and often, yes, she wore a black sleeveless mini-dress, yes, George Carlin is an unfunny leftist. However, Carlin did not argue with Ann or treat her rudely. The only thing that indicated his feelings was when he grimaced a few times when she spoke about liberal men.
The musical guest was some chick from Scotland who stank, but had a mysterious message taped to her guitar which read: THIS MACHINE KILLS FACISTS. Nobody seemed to know what this meant, but I did notice that at the end of the show she shook Carlin's hand, then Ann's, but then immediately focused a conversation on Carlin and didn't even glance at Ann again, as if she wasn't there.
After the show, we went to a restaurant across the street and Ann, ever gracious with her fans, joined the group for photos, book signings, and questions. Imagine, with her busy schedule promoting her book, that she would take the time to hang out with us. RonDog, who had orchestrated most everything on the Freeper side, was there, as was Doug from Upland, tame, Rockitz, rantblogger, Andrew Breitbart, and even a well known banned Freeper.
For the Page Six folks, it looked like Ann was sipping a strawberry daiquiri, carrying a Chanel bag, and her hair color looked beautiful. I asked her if, when she was chatting during the commercial breaks with George Carlin, if he was kind to her. She said he was actually quite nice, contrary to what some may have expected. But remember, this is Hollywood, and most celebrities when sober, fear public rejection (by way of booing, to their face.) Even Michael Moore toned down his act (in mixed company) after people booed his Shame on you, Mr. Bush speech at the Oscars. Or perhaps Carlin just isn't like that these days.
Thank you, Ann, for being so gracious, and to RonDog for getting hold of tickets for so many of us.
Correct, Rev. Wright on one side and white evangelicals on the other....sm
They both spew hatred and division, not love and acceptance. Keep religion out of the whole process. This is my only reservation about Obama, being a member of this church for so long with no inkling!, but this can be said about the republicans too. I have been to tent revivals and see the furvor. Oh my! I am a Christian, but respect good people of all religions, not the radicals
southern evangelicals are running the republican party and I am
I believe the term you are really using is not "arrogant", but "uppity."
Stop you evil propaganda, you're just lowering yourself to all those hypocritical evangelicals!
It's obvious your mind is already made up, so please do not force yours on us who do not agree with you one bit. If you're trying to make the rest of us swing in your direction by writing this litany of pettyness and sillyness, you're wrong. John McCain is passé...gone, okay? If I hear him talk about his military service and his tortures one more time, I'm going to puke! This is 2008, the war in Vietnam is long over and the U.S. had to get out. The Russians were in Aghanistan for ten years and had to get out with millions of their soldiers dead. This is an unwinnable war, why smarty pants can't you understand that? And Palin....oh please! She's a controller freak, she'll be running McCain if he's elected! We don't want neither one of them and you will see why come November 4th. We will not put up with four more years of aq Bush.......he's screwed up the country so bad in every way possible! Now everyone hates americans thanks to your current president. He's a Clint Eastwood in disguise. The axis of evil is America, and not the countries Bush loves to denigrade. So stop your propaganda against Barack, he's a breath of fresh air which we all long for. Biden did a lot more than McCain did in Congress. We don't need a novice from Alaska that's for sure. I'm Canadian and up here, it's democrat all the way. I suppose Palin can see the Yukon from her bedroom now? Bush will go down as the worst President the U.S. has ever had. No wonder you're all so scared and nervous about terrorists....he dared them and challendged and now they hate his guts. Let's get Barack in there and start negotiating, communicating and get the world on you side once again, like it used to be. So don't give me your crap about Barack or Joe. Bet you don't even know where Khandahar is! So stop your propaganda and keep your hateful thoughts to yourself!
