Why are you taking drugs and then posting on this board?

Your mind seems jumbled and confused. Remember this one?
Antiwar Protestors Feed Muslim Murderers.
There are too many others to cut and paste. They are slanderous and at times shocking. They fuel intolerance and negative stereotypes. We have some of the same on this board, but cannot even begin to approach what is posted on the CON board. Not all of this scum journalism passing for the truth that is posted on the CON board is even commented on by the libs.
You don't play fair, you don't tell the truth. You are only making these ridiculous and moronic claims in order to get a flame going. I am going to ignore you and hope others will, too. (It's a hard thing to do when someone is posting such nonsense).

I still say no response is the best response.
Ask the liberals who are posting there to come over to this board.
I know it is tempting to want to post on the opposite board, I try to fight it though because I know anything I say over there will only start a fight.
Ya sure you wanna keep posting on this board?
Seeing as how you are dialoguing with only one person? Sounds kind of dull in my opinion, but whatever.......
actually not sure...googled it. It was a posting board...I did
find like to the times article though.

First time posting on board
Just had to say I agree. I cannot stand Elizabeth. She's always right and never wrong. She knows it all.
Do you read anything except the posting board?
The cause of our economic meltdown was the housing meltdown. You can't blame that one on Bush. He and old McCain have been warning about it for years, but the majority Dem Congress (especially Mr. Frank and Mr. Dodd) turned a blind eye to the whole thing. Mr. Frank is on video saying, loosely quoted, "Doesn't matter if Fannie and Freddie fail. The government won't bail them out." It was all that bad fannie and freddie paper that those wall street types had bought up that crashed the market when all those bad mortgages went south...bad mortgages that the Dems insisted be given out, to people who they knew could not afford the payments, so "every american could have the american dream." Well, now we have the american nightmare. If you want to stay in denial and somehow claim this was Bush's fault, go ahead. Does not change the truth of what happened. I don't agree with everything Bush did for sure. But the "pubs" as you guys like to call them are on the right side of this issue.
And it doesn't take a Messiah...or petty hatefulness...to figure this out. Look at what is happening, what Obama has done so far, and if you can see the silver lining, please to show it to me.
I have a friend in Massachusetts who is as liberal a Democrat as they come, and he told me yesterday, about Obama: "He IS a socialist. No doubt about it." It only took him 2 months to realize it...after a year of telling me he wasn't. So, not all you are wearing blinders. lol. And a socialist is what it is, and does what it does. This country functioned beautifully on capitalism for many years and it would have recovered on capitalism as it had in the past. But Mr. Obama is doing his dead level best to kill that, kill the entrepreneurial spirit, kill ambition, kill what made this country great. If Obama really cared about the poor and unfortunate he would put them to work, not pay them to vegetate. Trite though it sounds...they need a hand pulling them up, not pushing them down.
Neocon, I think you are posting on the wrong board
GET OFF THE LIBERAL BOARD, FOOL..we dont want you here.
Well Brunson, I've been posting on the politics board on mtstars sm
for a few years, since it was created. It has took some tough skin - really tough to debate Nan and AG and the others of their ilk. Though I must say their unwaivering love and confidence in President Bush is almost admirable and I can't help but respect a person who knows what they believe in and stand strong for it; at the very same time, not being open to other's view points is close minded.
I have seen in my day AG (AKA Bush Supporter), Nan, and more of their coherts run quite a few liberal minded, even meek speaking posters and they did it with no regard to their feelings. They like to make the debate a personal one, so I would say by looking at what the trolls did to them was a healthy dose of their own medicine, and by the way from what I've read I didn't see death wished on anyone. That's yet another trick of theirs, again you would have to know them, to demonize everything the democrats/liberals say.
What a trash mouth....make you feel real good to be profane with a stranger on a posting board??
and yes, it is murder. When you kill a human being, its murder. You can justify it, rationalize it, whatever it takes so that you feel good about killing it....but it is murder. Very simple...it is living and growing. You introduce a foreign object and slice it into pieces and suck it out of the one place that should be SAFE. Biology 101...the child is alive. It is growing. would not grow if it was not alive. The life was terminated. That's murder.
And of the 1.2 million abortions performed in this country every year, how may do you think are due to rape (by anyone), incest, or to protect the life of the mother? Less than 20%. All the others are oops abortions. So let's start with delegalizing abortion except in the case of rape, incest, and endangering the life of the mother. That would save about 800,000 babies a year. That would be a great place to start. It might also encourage better stewardship of those uteruses you want the government to stay out of. You don't mind the government going in there to kill babies though, do you?
So now you want to round up all the pregnant women who are poor and abort their kids? You hinting that poor kids aren't loved by their parents?
No drugs here
but according to gt's insightful posts y'all like all the good pot...
Which drugs were those and what age?
Lots of us have been addicted to smoking and I would be willing to say you probably know some addicted to things worse than smoking.

Uh, and I suppose those drugs Obama
to him? Does this make our president a criminal? Did he go through rehab and clean up his act? Did he associate himself with clean, wholesome friends, companions and coworkers? Be careful who you call a liar and a hypocrite.
My point wasn't that anyone used drugs or whatever.
My point was that Rush doesn't put himself out there as the Messiah or the ultimate authority anymore than Glen Beck or Sean Hannity, or for that matter anyone on the liberal news channels. Rush gets more attention because to conservatives, he's telling the truth - he told the truth when Bush started making mistakes, too, and was not a big supporter of McCain when he ran for president.
This is about policy and spending money we just don't have - how are we ever going to pay it all back? No one has that answer - we just keep spending and spending. I don't think it's right and I know many conservatives don't think it's right and if that happens to jive with what Rush is saying, then I agree with him, too. But I certainly don't look to him as a moral majority and don't know many people who do - I think that's just a misconception, like Obama being the dems Messiah. I know several liberal dems and they look at him as their president, not their savior. That was really the point I was trying to make about Rush.
Actually, I have talked to them about all the "harmful" drugs. s/m
As in most things, education is power, education lends to more rational decisions, and being open and honest about these issues with my kids only leads them to become more responsible adults. I happen to enjoy a very close, open, sometimes brutally honest relattionship with my children. They tell me everything -- sometimes, too much, and I sometimes struggle to keep a calm, nonjudgmental atitude with them, as that is why we have such a great relationship. I have told them in ugly details about the consequences and effects of chemically-based substances, because I have personally experienced just about all of them and have personally witnessed many friends lose their souls and lives to such drugs. My kids understands that I personally know what I am talking about when I inform them of these things, and for that, they respect my honesty and my first-hand knowledge about these things, and so, will definitely think twice before being enticed to give it a try.
Not just drugs..."freedom" when it comes to gay marriage, also
...to think about what Barney Frank falls off of...or into...or anything else that makes me want to run my brain through an autoclave.
She adopted a child while stealing drugs for her addiction.
If she was poor the state would have seized her kids. It's not the rich and special treatment that is so upsetting. It's the fact he is the one making these rules while his wife is an addict.
the drug companies that fund the research for new drugs
really don't have all that much time to make money on the drugs before generics are allowed. Do you think generic companies are going to start contributing to research? For all those people who gripe about the drug companies, I would like to see the day come when the drug companies aren't willing to spend another dime on the research. The gov can pay for all the research then. They still pay for the meds, and it might be more, factoring in the waste for the gov being involved.
So you and your buds bash us on *your* board and suddenly, once you reach this board,
some respect?
You publicly post on the other board that you *try not to visit the bog of eternal stench.*
Well, doesn't look like you are trying all that hard. Or is that another example of Conservative honesty, like your buddy on the other board lies 3 times before suddenly deciding to be *up front* (in her own words) about the whole bogus line of crap she was spouting.
You and your 2 friends don't respect anyone unless they're a member of your little club, think exactly as you think, belong to the same political party as you belong, and believe in the very same little narrow SUBsection of one particular religion.
That's what I interpret from YOUR WRITTEN WORDS. Your posts don't show respect. They only show twisted *facts*, ignorance, anger and hatred.
You can't be *respectful* on your own board but suddenly, when you come here - HERE - the place YOU call *the bog of eternal stench* you suddenly discover some respectability during your mouse click from there to here?
Please. Some of us aren't as stupid as you think we are.
You're becoming quite a bore. You and your friends stated you don't want us on your board, but you're not happy unless you're picking a fight. You and your *gang* told us to leave and not to post on *your* board. Maybe that should work both ways.
Out of ALL the problems with radical Conservatives, maybe the most annoying thing is that you don't believe in equality at all. You believe in SUPERIORITY. Somewhere along the line, someone made you think you were special and above everyone else. Sheesh! You're not happy unless you're dictating to everyone else in the country what they're allowed to do in their own personal lives regarding life, death, science, etc. You even think YOUR GOD IS BETTER than everyone else's.
You want to make the rules, censor people and tell them which boards they can and cannot post on, but YOU want to invade them all and spew your ignorance and hatred.
In my heart, I believe there are sincere, honest, intelligent Conservatives out there who are capable of a sensible debate. I've seen them. (I hope you don't chase them away, too.) But and your crew don't fall in that category, and this will be the last of your inane posts I will subject myself to.
Talk about stench. Just read your very own posts.
Can we bring the board back to the true reason for the board
Can we get the political board back to the true purpose of this board – to share opinions of why we like our candidate. Not bash and cut down others because they don’t agree with you.
I stayed away from this board for the past couple days because anyone who had anything positive to say about Sarah Palin got slammed, bashed, kicked down, etc. After awhile I found it all too draining, and was not seeing any reason to come. Yes, I did see some of it towards people who favored Barack Obama, but if you read the posts again it is mostly towards anyone who favored Sarah Palin/John McCain.
I thought the political board was for posting information regarding politics and candidates. What I have seen for the past few days is that it has been an attack board. Especially if you have anything positive you want to share about Sarah Palin. You say something good about her and you get attacked, you answer back, and you get attacked more, and then when you get mad and pretty much say stop attacking me, they come back with this “Geez, I’m allowed to have an opinion”.
Another thing I am tired of seeing is the slanderous, hate filled, really off the wall comments about Sarah Palin. The latest was something about her daughter actually had her baby. Talk about just bizarre comments. I thought what’s next, she’s an alien from another planet? The more I kept reading the more the comments were getting just really weird and bizarre. Of course nobody ever having any proof of any of these allegations. I then came to realize that the posters were just trying to get a fight going.
I also saw posts that had nothing to do with politics but attacking a poster named Sam. Again, probably trying to get another fight going for no good reason and on things that have nothing to do whatsoever with politics. I’ve read “Sam is like an annoying nat that you sway away”, “Sam, please let me know where you work” or “she must have her quota” or “sam is to the politics board as oracle is to the” This childish rhetoric is getting old. I’m not defending sam she is a big girl and I can see by her posts she can take care of herself, but my point is that this has nothing to do with politics. If you want a fight maybe you could request that the administrator create a separate “fight and degrade” section.
I’ve read the administrators post a couple different times called Beware of Flaming. She/he said as long as we realize that not everyone is going to agree we shouldn’t wear our feelings on our sleeves and a little more oversight on here would be good. Let people express his or her opinion and move on. If you don’t like someone just ignore that person. “It’s not rocket science, you know” (I liked that statement)
I consider posting on this board a privilege and not a right. If you don’t agree with something and you post that you don’t agree and state the facts why (and are civilized about it) that’s one thing, but when you bash and degrade others without showing proof and just want to start fights and belittle others it just seems a bit juvenile to me.
I come to the politics board to hear ideas and stuff (facts) about the candidates. That is how I’m learning about each one, but I don’t want to read people attack other posters for no good reason. I'd like to hear about Obama/Biden & McCain/Palin, but I want to hear facts.
If you like to fight so much why don’t you pick on people that you can fight to face to face.
Your on the wrong board - you need to preach on the faith board
You just delivered a sermon (or quote). Either way it doesn't belong here. What does this have to do with politics. The democrat and republican party did not start up until after the 1800s. Socialism also wasn't created until the 1800s.
To me your post describes the way humans should treat other humans. This has nothing to do with politics - imho.
Because you posted on the Main board not Politics board.
It was removed, as we do not have an option of moving from Main to Politics.
This could have easily been avoided had you posted on the correct board.
The response from another poster to not post political viewpoints on this board was becuase you posted it on the Main board.

THis is not about taking anything away from kids...they
still have access to birth control...health departments, planned parenthood, clinics, any number of places. It is common knowledge. You hear about it on television on a daily basis, and television, movies, and the internet are where most kids get their information. And frankly, listen to it much more closely than to their parents. Throwing more federal money into any kind of sex ed and/or abstinence programs to me is a waste of money. That was the original question, did I think federal funds should be used for sex ed and abstinence programs.
No, in this culture we live in today, to remove contraception would be idiotic. Sex has been reduced to "expression," having one partner for life has disappeared, multiple partners are fine, yada yada...in that kind of culture to remove birth control would be nuts. Think what the abortion rate would be if that was done...good grief.
By education and programs that doesn't mean dispensing actual birth control. At many schools kids can get condoms. Nearly every health department in the country will dispense birth control and any planned parenthood place will, and that is not going to change.
If you want to reach kids, put those programs on the internet or introduce that kind of information to the shows the kids watch all the time. If you want the information to get to them, that is where it should be covered.
Thank you for taking the time to lay it all out
They will immediately go to Palin flaming because that's all they have. They can never refute any proof made on this board because they can't find any to refute with. Instead, they keep going round and round with the only thing they can remember from TV, Palin this, Palin that.
You don't see the republicans putting down Biden because they are decent people, unlike the dems on this board who refuse to see. AND, the dems on this board know that Biden LOVES McCain and they know in their hearts Biden can't stand Obama; he already said so.

Taking money out
is actually a good idea, since there has been talk of bank runs under the current situation THAT IS NOW HAPPENING UNDER GEORGE W. BUSH.
For me, taking time every now and then
to look back and reflect on what we come from, where we're at, how far we've come and how far we have yet to go is a good thing. An Abe-Lincoln themed inauguration seems to be as appropriate of an occasion as any. I cannot pretend to understand how it feels to have the pain of slave ancestors' stories dragged up and thrust in my face, but I can speak to pain of a different sort.
The sight of hordes of GWTW southern belles all bedecked en masse in pools of pastel puke conjures up the shame I inherited from my own white ancestors. As a child, I felt plenty of it growing up in a southern metropolis in the 50s where cotton was still king and the vestiges of plantation life were still palpable and, at times, visceral. As a child, I lived in a wealthy community where some household "help" still stayed in "servants' quarters" behind the main residence (gag me). These were the days of segregation and separate but unequal when and the "N" word was still socially acceptable.
Enter MLK and the revolution of the 60s and 70s that turned our country up-side-down, thank you Jesus. The progress has been slow but steady since then, but the fact that I can still feel the stinging shame of where I came from and that you can still feel such outrage over a historical parade lets us both know that we have not yet reached the Promised Land.
When I watch the Azalea Trail Maids next Tuesday, they will not be marching toward me. They do not have the power to bring back the past and slap me in the face with it. Every step they take will be one step further away, back into a time we best not forget anytime soon, and I will be reminding myself that they are indeed GONE WITH THE WIND.
PS. I too am hoping for brisk winds that whip right past those pretty pastel pantaloons and chill them straight to the bone.
I appreciate you taking time out....(sm)
to respond to my post in such a reasonable and adult manner. Keep up the good work! You must be so proud.
Government is taking over
everything and they aren't even smart enough to run the government let alone every business in the US. I just cannot believe you Obamabotics find this okay. This is total government control going on here!!!! This is scary crap!
Thank you for taking the time
I appreciate your reasonable and well-composed argument. I do see how recent actions by this administration could be construed as a power grab, but what actions do think they should have taken instead?
Regarding the private sector argument, if a company accepts federal funding to bail them out of a financial crisis, are they still truly a private company, at least until the money is paid back? I do not agree with all the actions of this administration with respect to the financial crisis, but I do think they had to demonstrate that there are strings attached to receiving taxpayer money. (I may not agree with how they choose to about demonstrating that, however.)
So you are taking the word of
a guy who others consider a little off, Jolie's father? Not a good selection. Can you do better?
You said you had no problem taking on the Taliban...
there is no evidence THEY had anything to do with 9-11 either. Iraq had as much to do with 9-11 as the Taliban did. Both countries had Al Qaeda training camps. Both harbored Al Qaeda operatives. Saddam Hussein funded all kinds of terror operations, including bounties to families of suicide bombers. It was proven that a member of the Sadam Feyadeen met with Mohammed Atta prior to 9-11. Of course, they could have been discussing the weather. Saddam harbored the man who pushed Leon Klinghoffer and his wheelchair off the Achille Lauro...he harbored Al Zarqawi. What more do you need? Him on one of the planes? Your arguments make no sense. Basically, bottom line...you do not care if your protests hurt the effort in Iraq and thereby the soldiers fighting there..and as to soldiers dying for something they did not believe in...the vast majority are not of that mind. If you watched anything but CNN and listened to anything but liberal spin you would see the interview after interview after interview where soldiers do affirm their mission and affirm their disappointment in lack of support of some Americans.
As to Cindy Sheehan's son...other members of her family, her husband included...have said numerous times on the record that Casey Sheehan believed in the effort, and would be appalled at what his mother was doing. We do not make those things up...just because the liberal press does not report it does not mean it does not happen...oh...but I guess in YOUR world, that is true. Because you just pooh-pooh it and say that means nothing to me. Why is it that liberals are so arrogant? Why is it ALL about you? I have tried and tried to wrap my mind around that and just can't. I cannot understand what it is that makes someone disregard the lives and the mission of our military in harm's way just so they can hold a sign and call attention to THEMselves. There is nothing noble about that. The noble ones are the ones in Iraq. How profoundly sad that you cannot see that...in one breath okay to fight the Taliban, in the other just throw Iraq and our boys and girls there to the dogs. How twisted is that...sigh. So...go on about your protesting. Only call a spade a spade. It is about YOU...and making yourself feel good. It is not, nor has it ever been, for anyone else.
Thanks for taking up for me Brunson, the problem is SM
I didn't post any of these posts. Someone is playing a stupid joke and not a very funny one. However, since Lurker seems content to know me so well, I am not sure who got the real butt of the joke ;)
taking things out of context
I agree that it's not fair to take Michelle Obama's statements out of context, but then you turn around and take Cindy McCain's problem out of context. I say leave both wives alone. I know what Cindy did was illegal, so it's kind of apples and oranges, but she's worked through her recovery and worked it out with the law, so I don't think she needs to be beat over the head with it the rest of her life.
