I'm no yuppie
I'm 49 but am no yuppie and offended if people call me one. I thought yuppies were people born in the 1970s or 1980s. Never heard the term until I was in my 30s and by then I was too old to be a yuppie. Born in 1960 my parents often went to a park in Boston where people wore tie-die and danced around barefoot to the Rolling Stones, Credence Clearwater Revival, The Doors, etc. We grew up on Herb Alpert and Booker T & the MGs. Life was wonderful and we were free and happy. I still remember holding my sister and moms hands dancing in circles barefoot in the park and it was a wonderful and happy time. Maybe that would make me a hippie too? Oh what a wonderful memory you just gave me. Thanks.
