has made executive decisions on a daily basis. She has dealt with state employees, the National Guard, state budget. He has done none of those things. He has been in Congress where everything is done by committee and talking about it and then back to committee and then talking about it...decisions in Congress takes months. You can't do that in the White House. You have to make decisions as they come. He just hasn't done that much. Yes, he was a community organizer...certainly does not make him any more ready for the white house than someone who has almost 2 years as a governor. Bill Clinton had only been a governor when he was elected. It is better experience for an executive office if you have executive experience. People are making a big deal about how she is not going to the press right off the bat. Yes, she has to get briefed on foreign affairs. She governed on a state level. But I remind everyone...Obama has been running for 18 months. When he first entered the race he didn't do interviews with anyone who would really question him until this week with O'Reilly. She has only been running for what...a week?
She also had an 80% approval rating in her state. Obama never had that as senator...Biden never had that as senator...even McCain never had that as senator. That high an approval rating is almost unheard of. So the majority of the people in her state think she is a good executive.
In my opinion, she has every bit as good a chance of being able to run the country in case something happened to McCain as Obama has on day 1, and that is when we get him...day 1.
Just my opinion... :)
